Ok, I am a master entertainer and want to play my Nalargon inside a cantina. I have no weapon or intrument equiped when I start. I goto to inventory and "use" the Nalargon and it appears inside the cantina. I target it an select "play instrument" and always get message "you must first unequip your current instrument" even though I dont have anything equiped. I have tried relogging and doing full scan. I have equiped and then unequiped other instruments to try and reset whatever is wrong. Nothing works.
Strangely I dont have any problem using my omnibox which works the same way in that you have to drop it and target it in order to play. I also have no problem playing Nalargons that are not mine, but are in my player city's cantina. I can just target that one and play it no problem even though I dont have admin to the cantina. But I cant play my own Nalargon in the very same cantina. What am I doing wrong?

I had the same problem with an old Nalargon I owned. I bought it off the bazaar cheap, and never got it to work - it kept giving me that message, too.
I eventually destroyed it (so as not to pass on the buggy Nalargon) and made myself a new one, which I've used without incident ever since.
I suggest it's time to get a new Nalargon, and see if that helps.
Also, by Master Entertainer I'm guessing you meant Master Musician, too - you need to have Master Musician to play the Nalargon.

As Warryr said, you have to be a Master Musician to play the Nalargon. Are you? If so, this is a bug that is new to me, and I'll pass it on to the devs.
