I know that the cantina default music playing over player musicians has been an issue for a while. Recently I've noticed that I also get music overlap of 2 songs in Jabba's Palace. Sometimes it's the same song offset by a few seconds, others it's the "Lapi Nek" song over the other repetitive base music. Is this just me and my sound hardware?
Also is there a fix going in for the player musician songs getting overlapped by the default cantina music? I noticed that was not in the top issue for Musicians but since they are adding new songs for Pub 10, might as well try to squeak in that request while they are working on the audio code.

Not that I'd have any favor with the slug *cough* but I've heard the same thing. The overlap sounded to me like it could just be Lapti Nek playing twice slightly offset.. Cause when it fixes itself (It does if you stick around enough) it doesn't change much.
If you want the technical guess on it.. My guess is that when you're approaching the throne room, you get close enough to "trigger" the music playing for you. It does that a bit out so it can fade it in. The path in is a bit windy-ish, so perhaps you end up going out of range, and back in triggering it twice, slightly offset.

I think you are right about the triggers Tiaga. I logged out in the throne room to come here for my first post. I logged back in and had a single version of the song playing while loading. After walking around a bit I got a second copy going. Came back here to post that to find that you had already answered my question. That might have been the fastest reply I've ever recieved.
Anyhow I hope there is something that can be done to fix this and the cantina default music in the near future.

Lobby for it to be on the issues if you think it's worth it. With the exception of those times one of the devs smack themselves on the forehead and go "Duh!" and put in a quick 5 minute easy fix, for something to even be considered it has to have community backing on it. When they are considering the issues, from what I understand, TH uses the lists he's collected as a guide, but comes to the forums to read more on it. Not necessarily a hard and fast rule, but a general rule of thumb.
You can, however, turn game music off in the sound sliders. Player music is controlled differently, so you can have player music but no ambient music.
Just be sure to crank it all the way back up and then some when you go to Lok.

Ooohhhhh yeah! That's about my favorite music in game, and one of the few reasons I even go to Lok at all.
Why can't I have the Lok ambient musicplaying inthe LIVE EntertainmentGuildhall?
