For quite some time, my friend Kauhee and I have been working on an extensive performance beyond your average flourish and twirl entertainment. A real play, musical, ballet... performance thing. We are desperately seeking entertainers to help in this endeavor. Currently our greatest need is for musicians.I look to those who enjoy the spotlight in hopes that some of you out there are interested in bringing quality entertainment back to the Naritus galaxy. Or maybe you know someone, tell them.

This is a commitment of one hour a week. We meet at 8pm EST at the Mos Entha Theater, on Sundays. Everyone is invited to sit in and watch our rehearsals, of course. Tell your friends whether they be entertainers or not. I figure if enough word is passed along, we're bound to find someone who will be interested in helping the performance.

This is our current brochure: http://www.geocities.com/curlicue_thoughts/brochure.html Obviously, incomplete as performance times aren't decided.

Navi-

I'm not even sure that will work. I've met some of your people... heck, even talked to one face to face. I believeI had met a few of you back in October on Vreni Island.. beach party. I think you were there? I talked to Neirn about possibly coming. Nothing. We've had a stroke of bad luck with SnDI. Kauhee was trying to get some of you to play for her housewarming party and never heard back.. from you or anyone.

Our idea is a GREAT idea! And I'm not just saying that because I'm part of it. I've heard people who want to see this happen just so they can watch it. I've had people sit through entire rehearsals just to watch. I've had people wander by, ask what we're doing and after hearing an explanation, they reply with "Cool, let me know when you guys are doing the real thing." It's a shame that the entertaining community isn't more supportive or interested in doing something more, something different.

Sounds like a fun idea, but I don't think I can devote the time. I have a busy job IRL and cannot get on an hour per week sometimes, let alone an hour per night.

DLB-

Even if you cannot devote the time for sure, I encourage you to at least try to visit us some Sunday. We also realize that with the holidays going on, people will tend to be much busier this time of yearand so have been very flexible. So please just come and give it a try; we would love to have you!

(In case no one notices, yes, we're getting a little desperate.)

There is no level requirement at all! We are happy to have any musician who is willing to give it a try and possibly sign on as one of our band members! I will be certain to let Kauhee know you are interested and exact a tell or email in-game. Thank you!

Tristine,

I'd be interested in at least giving it a try. But as you said, the holidays are busy times and in fact I will be away from my computer the next 3 Sundays for travel.

When I return in January, I'd be happy to come and check out what's going on. I'm a Musician (4/0/4/0) so I know all the songs and instruments except the 'master'-levels.

If you're 'serious' about this and have something worked up, I also know 2-4 people who 'might' also be interested.

Be aware though that many MM's and MD's are somewhat, shall we say, 'particular' about performances. I won't go so far as to say you'll have to manage prima donna's....but you will...

So if you've never done this kind of thing before it may be a shock to you. Coming off of a 7 week rehearsal for a Christmas Play (performed last night) I can say that working with adults, much less younger than 17, can be a bit trying at times, especially trying to maintain order.

I would recommend taking this very slow, and working your way up. I'd get a core group together (3-6)that you can work with easily and will follow your lead, then slowly work others into the act. Otherwise, if you bring in too many divergent opinions at once, you run the risk of a mutiny, losing control, and watching your production group schism.

Remember, everyone will have their own ideas of what looks and sounds 'good'. I'd at least have an idea of what you want before you start a major rehearsal with many people.

But I've always believed that a major musical and dance production is possible with the tools we have before us, it'll just take time, practice, and coordination to be the best!

Good luck, talk to you after the New Year.

You make it sound like we're new at this. Kauhee and I have been working on this for months. A full script, choreography, and dancing cast is already completed. Done... We have been meeting for a few months with rehearsals, delays from vanishing lead ladies, band leaders, and general real life bumps have caused this to take longer than it should have. We need musicians who can help write the music we so desperately need... as our band leader never fully finished... and also to play for the performance.

So... don't worry. We know what we're doing. I will send you an email with information in game in the coming days.

Enoe,

I apologize for not getting back to Kauhee in a timely fashion. I did send an email backstating that I was looking for someone to perform at the house warming party. I was unable to email back that I had not found anyone because RL pulled me away from the game for a few days.

I wasn't at the Vreni Island party. We have a long standing policy at SnDI that RL always comes 1st. We hold no ill will towards members that can not attend functions due to RL obligations. Neirn is busy with school I believe.

I would like to help you out, as much as I can. The original email from Kauhee asked for quite a bit of time. I knew that I would not be able to perform with the production, so in my emails, I asked that people interested in performing contact Kauhee. Where things went from there, I do not know.

We at SnDI have always tried to provide a great entertainment service. We have established cantina's and theaters across the galaxy now.

Should you still want SnDI's help, the best I can do is send another guild wide email to try to generate interest. I would be more than happy to do that, as I would like to see your project succeed. Please send me an in game email with your schedule and I will let everyone know. We have grown considerably since Oct, and I am sure there are people that have not heard of your production.
