Thread: Cantina VS Theater ?
Can anybody help me out with this...I started a Musician on the starsider server and am trying to decide which to get, the cantina or the theater...I like the looks of the theater more but I want to make sure it performs the same function as the cantina.

And it really isn't neccessary to bump a thread at all, much less after only a few hours.
I think you can place a Cantina in a level 2 city, when you hit Master Chef, Dancer, or Musician. It has 400 storage.
I think the Theatre needs a level 4 city, you need to be a Master Dancer or Musician to place it. I think it has less than 400 storage (not certain though, I think it also uses less lots than a cantina)
I can't speak to capacity, but with the bugs related to theatres and that you don't need as big a city....go Cantina.

Bugs:
Cantina: It is sometimes difficult to move objects around in cantinas, there seem to be invisible walls in places. This can generally be worked around by picking up the item and dropping it on the other side of the "wall." Some players also have difficulty moving items up and down in their cantinas. This particular bug is rare though.
Theater: Stage is considered outside and is therefor not functional as far as Entertainer mechanics go. Nalargons and Ommni Boxes are not usable on-stage unless they are dragged there. Droid effects project beneath the stage. It should be noted that everything works properly inside the "back room" of the theater, just not on-stage. Also, since the stage is outside, it cannot be decorated (although the little "hallway" that leads to the stage from the backroom can be decorated.
