Thread: new buffs for musician and entertainers! but who will benefit?

Saw in this forum and on jedi one some info about upcoming new buffs for entertainers, the ideas behind them seemed nice but who will benefit from them?
everytime i enter in a cantina i see 99.999% of "entertainers" entertaining the air (as the cantina is empty) with a nice AFK flag above their head so i ask myself....
entertainers ATM are almost useless... why they are grinding entertainers if they don't play it? gettin xps for the village?....
if there are so many AFKers that entertainers are in almost no demand i can only wonder what will happen when there will be new fantastic buffs to dispensate to other players using /covercarge.
my fear is that these new buffs, the introduction of new systems more friendly to AFKers, the total lack of any interest from DEVs to get rid of AFK play for entertainers will make it so that cantinas will be again the realms of buffbots, doing the final blow to a communityalredy agonizing due recent CU changes.
I'm all for new buffs and for purpose for entertainers, but i don't think these should be introduced before the AFKers situation is resolved or they will be made so that only ATK players can apply them.

This has been a long standing issue so I personally am not worrying about it too much. Hopefully they will remedy the afk problem at some point in the near future which will allow the entertainer profession to flourish in more ways than one.
Personally, I don't view the afker's as entertainers at all. Especially the ones who leveled the professions afk mostly. There are some that I can understand due to RL issues like kids and such. Sometimes they seem afk only because they keep getting called away. But thats besides to point, i'm getting off on another subject entirely.
Basically the new buffs need to be implemented even if the afk issue has not been resolved. We need to regain our usefulness even with afker's. Besides, they'll need our feedback on the buffs and if we concentrate too much on the afk problem we'll get something we didn't want. Not that i'm saying we shouldn't concentrate on the afk problem we just can't be single minded about it.
