Thread: PINK FLOYD Reuniting for Live8 Concert!!!!!!!!!!!

Pink Floyd will be reunited with Roger Waters for the live8 concert in London's Hyde Park!!
The show is a part of several free concerts located around the world (Philadelphia, London, Paris, Rome, Berlin) put together for the purpose of raising global awareness of ideas to alleviate global poverty... hoping to influence the G8 meetings coming up.
Check BBC news for more details... most local news is concerned with run-away brides and Jackson's court case.
So, thank Bob Geldof for not only trying to do something to help the planet... but also for creating an opportunity for Pink Floyd to overcome their differences and reunite!!

Yeah, very cool news indeed
The irony in all this is that on that day I will actually be in the UK (I live in Vienna usually), probably in Cambridge, and yet won't be able to watch it on TV. Bummer

Sir Bob also got wind of the free tickets being scalped on E-bay, and asked them to please pull the auctions. When E-bay refused, he called on his fans to spam bogus bids, until E-bay had no choice but to close the auctions.
*whistles innocently*

*wonders how much its gonna cost to get to the nearest concert....!*

I only heard that ebay wasn't allowing the sales...

I seem to be settling into the idea that I'll watch it on TV... in full surround sound of course, but I'm still leaving a few options open if any of my contacts pull through, hehe.
