Thread: Looking for Free sound editing software... Need help

Ok I just had a friend loan me her fraps program...


I like this alot... BUT


I dont have a program that will let stripe the song track off the frap and edit it.


I cant copy over top of it but that isnt what Im looking to do.


SO can one of you much more knowledge people direct me to a shareware program

that would allow me to edit the songtarck of a frap


I'd be much appreciative and I'll be sure to post the end product so you all can trash my work

This one looked useful too, but there's no download for windows, and I don't know if it can be compiled with cygwin.

A popular program for this stuff was CoolEdit. It was shareware and limited to two functions per launch (save/load being one of them, so things were a little nasty .. ah well, but it was very useful). However, the technology was bought by Adobe and is now called Audition. Well, maybe if you google for cooledit you can find an older version?

(EDIT: I actually don't know what you want the program to do, I never got into this ... but maybe one of these helps you.)

Ok thx for the help ill look into those what I want to do is record a Frap not for the video but for the sound track I record. Then I want to edit that soundtrack... cut it up rearrange the chopped pieces and such.
