Anyone with half an ear for music realizes that the tunes in the game are based around music from the movies. I'm curious what pieces folks have recognized.

starwars1 - cantina music

rock - ???

starwars2 - cantina music

folk - ??? (Leia's theme? Have to listen closely to it tonight...)

starwars3 - imperial march

ceremonial - victory march from the end of A New Hope?

ballad - Luke's theme (listen to it on mandovial and think of the scene where he watches the sunset)

jazz - ???

waltz - ???

virtuoso - ???

Virtuoso is in fact Jeepers Creepers.

I don't remember if it was used in the movies, though. Still wondering why they recycled this old song...

Thanks to Ti-Isc for pointing me in the right direction back some weeks, I knew I heared it before :-)

Cheers, Salome

I say folk is the theme from Cheers, and no matter what evidence there is to the contrary will ever make me doubt it.

Okay, Waltz is leia's theme, no question about it.

I guess I don't really have a clue what Folk is.

If you watch the special edition of Episode III Return of the Jedi it's in Jabba's Palace. The new music scene They added a few years back, that's where Starwars1 comes from. I personally and praying for that electro-harmonica-thingy the fat little critter sitting ont eh bucket was playing. That would be heaven, just think, blues music in SWG. Dream come true I tell ya.

Starwars 2 is the song played in Mos Eisley cantina in Star Wars ep IV, nice touch hearing it ingame in the Mos Eisley cantina and seeing the same band there too, hehe.

"And everywhere I go, people know the part I'm playin..."

I've been in this game since week two and I still haven't heard all of the bloody songs. I spent a month straight in cantinas before going combat only to come back to musician. I really want to hear Louis Prima in this game, it would almost make me stop macroing music in my house.

Ceremonial is in an old 80's arcade game which was probably taken from star wars, When i played it using the bandfill I started having flashbacks to my old atari days.
some of the songs like folk and ballad sound alot alike if you use the right instrument
sounded like Kenny G music
it sounds like some of the flourishes were mixed up, not with the right songs.
there are several flourishes(depending on the instrument) that are supposed to go with star wars 2 but arent.
thats why you cant play the song exactly like the movies.
