Ok I know the Dev did kinda sorta anwser us in a very indirect way but

its been over a month and we still haevnt gotten an anwser to our requests for musicians

other classes have been give a response but we have never

When this coraspondent program started I appladed SOE and the Dev team for a super idea and realy seeming to care and want to listen to us and make this the best game it can be

BUT... we send in our list they never responded we so far haev only seen deny service and entertainer missions added we did ask for them the entertainer missions are totaly crapola.

I feal like a fool thinking wow they are listening we can be heard they care about us then to be ignored

very old trick in busness "sounds good make a report on it and ill look it over" then they never do keeps people off your back for a long time

"ah havent had a chance to gt to that report" can give you a weeks delay

"very intresting ideas i need to talk it over with a few others" another good week delay

"they still haevnt gotten back to me there very bussy"

"Im upset too im going to try to get an anwser from them"

"they just got back to me and we need to discuss some things before I get back to you"

"have to do some more research"

ect.....

well im sorry but I for one dont feal that this type of tatic is good enough for us and we haevnt gotten past the first put you off phrase yet still got a bunch more to go through

Dev please be considerate adn take the time to anwser our first report and let us know what REALY to expect

At the moment, Blair and Q are BOTH out of the office, so I'm trying to hold down the fort, but as you know,I don't get to devote 100% of my time to SWG anymore.

We're still interviewing community rep candidates.

I don't know where the 2nd and 3rd reports are--I don't get them directly, so I will need to inquire. I do know that after the first batch, we definitely concluded that we can't handle weekly reports.

I also don't know where terminals for TC are.

Faydra,

I'm alsohoping SOE hires the Community Rep soon.I understand that personnel decisions don't happen quickly in any business, but like you I hope it will happen soon.

No, Q and Blair haven't been gone a month. Q was here til yesterday. He just posted yesterday that he's taking his first vacation in the past year -- that he's routinely worked Sundays since last year. He's going to be gone for all of ten days or maybe two weeks, I think. He deserves a vacation.Besides, of late we Correspondents have been dealing most frequently with Xahn and other devs, not Q. I doubt Q's short vacation will significantly delay the arrival of new songs and flourishes for us.

Yes, many of us Correspondents sent in second Reports -- I know I did. But my second Report was essentially identical to my first. (Its text, like that of my first Report, is posted elsewhere in this Forum.) It became obvious to me, and to the devs, that there's little point in a weekly top-five list; we'd just end up submitting the same issues each time until one got crossed off the list, and an item like "add new songs" won't get crossed off the list in a week or even four weeks.

Earlier tonight, in the thread you're quoting, I replied to Holo that we and other entertainers didn't get a point-by-point response to all issues, and the Doctor Correspondent chimed in with the same point. I also mentioned that our top-five list may gradually be changing, making me anxious to poll Musicians with a view to developing a new top-five list. But I don't think I can do that til we get the Community Rep on board, so again I agree with you that I hope SOE hires that Rep soon.

As much asI want to see things get fixed, I know that there is just a lot of work to do and probably not enough people to do it. I have to take my hat off toeveryone working directlyon SWG. It is not their fault that the game was released to early and not thoroughly tested. It is not their fault that they do not have enough people to work on all the issue's. They probably need a lot more staff than they have and the bean counters will not allow then to hire many more.

Such is the way in the world of business.

If it's true that the team worked many weekend's, then I really feel for them. Now all they hear is whining day in and day out. Hardly any praises of what has been done already. No glory at all. So here is myheart felt thanks for those slaving away. Thank you guys!

Yes the Dev have done a super job there is a lot to see and do *clap* *cheer*

But they made statements and promisses and they haev not kept them

Not theat the free month is over and gone we are now paying monthly

Yes a LOT of the money goes to server maintance and some goes into the never full pockets of Lucas but still we are now paying them to IMPROVE THE GAME!

Normaly a game sells for $50 the company only sees about $20 - $15 of thses dollars after is all said and done

So sine we are paying SOE directly for the monthly game they are seeing about $7 - $10 after expenses

This is about half what they would get if they work on a game a new for 2 years then put it out and they are garonteeing 270,000 sales (the numebr of subscribers to the game)

Anyway the ammount can be debated but the end result is that we are paying Soe what they make for 2 years work for a new game ever 2 months!

So what do I and what should YOU expect from them?

I expect a reasonable ammount of new content added every 2 months becouse we are paying them the price of what they make on a new game every two months!

Is it too much to ask for then to anwser our Coraspondednt Give us some time tables let us know what new things will be added for the new game expense we are paying them?

Should we be happy that when we pay them the price of a new game we only get the same game with few changes?

Yes the Dev did a SUPER JOB its a beutyfull world and we all rewarded themfor this effort by buying the game but now we are paying them to improe the game and add to it ,this is what are monthly fee is for maintaning the servers and Upgrading the game

Anwser us please

Tell us whatour money is buyingus next month!

Please I hate paying for a box that I dont know the contents of and half our money is buying this box, when we open it will it be empty?

For one thing, nobody knows how the money is being divied up and who is getting what and how much. So you cannot speculate at all on that subject.

I can be considered a power gamer I guess. I play about 4 to 5 hours on weeknights and close to 12 each day on the weekends. But I am more casual in game, meaning I do not go out and do everything there is to do, I do a lot of the same things each day. Therefore, I have not even experienced all the content that has been offered to date. I even have two different characters with completely different professions and have yet to experience it all. I made the second character because the musician was becoming a little dull for me. But no, I do not expect them to put in major changes to the profession every 2 months.

I am very laid back and can tollerate a lot, so maybe I am not like most people. I have not seen any promises from the devs on anything, other than player cities and mounts/vehicles and those don't even have a specific date they will be out. Just they hope to have them out in a few months.

Yes, I am dissapointed they made this correspondent program, but have really failed at it. But I can understand why. They just don't have the manpower to do it right. Maybe when they get their correspondent middleman job filled it will work as intended. Then again Holo said himself that once a week lists would be to much.

So what do I expect? I expect to be able to get into the game whenever I want to, except those times that they need to perform maintenance and what not. I expect that they add major content and profession upgrades every 4 to 6 months. I expect that if they ask for customer feedback, they use that feedback. Thats pretty much it.

Unless I misread Q3P0's recent posts, they are close to hiring the new Community Rep, the person with whom I'm supposed to interact on Correspondent issues. Maybe as soon as next week, though again maybe I misunderstand Q. Once that person is hired, I plan to pester him or her constantly about new songs, new flourishes, new sounds, better gigs and content, and the remaining issues on our list. But I have no one to pester now; I've e-mailed the devs (using the Correspondent channel) asking for better answers, and my e-mail has gone unanswered.

In the meantime, if you want to maximize the chance that your complaints will be read by a dev, I would encourage you and other Musicians to post a similar message in the SWG Discussion Forum, since that's the one the devs currently read most consistently. I've posted pleas for new songs there several times, usually in a thread in which the devs are already posting, in the hopes that they'll notice. For example, Q just asked for our "top three" issues, so I posted my top issue as new songs and flourishes.I'll also start a new thread there.

Yesterday I started a thread entitled "Devs: when can we expect new songs and flourishes" in the SWG Discussion forum. Within 20 minutes, it was on page three of the board. I added a clarification to my post, bringing it back up to page one, and last I checked it had gotten no replies and had dropped to page 14 of the board.

Some people actually have posted in it now, including one person who thinks that the devs shouldn't waste any more programming time on entertainers.

Incidentally, the new private forum for Correspondents, and the new Correspondent PA on Test Center, offers hope that we Correspondents will have a much more direct line to the devs now. I'll keep you posted -- as soon as I get my power back. (Writing this on a battery-powered laptop in the wake of Isabel.)
