I just made master musician tonight . I have this question looking on the skill status page i notice that one of the skill that i got was melee battle what does that mean. does that mean i can fight better in a battle or do i use in that skill when i playing music in a battle ?

Master musicians get a +7 ranged defense/melee defense bonus. I'm guessing it's to help them defend themselves against random flying objects, such as rocks and rotten vegetables.

Or in Wemi's case, to fight off the throngs of screaming fans

It helps you when fighting/travelling (sometimes it's the same).

Yep, it helps you in both ranged and melee defense. +7 is nothing to sneeze at, in fact. I guess it reflects our greater dexterity, acquired at the keyboard and (as others have already said) in dodging thrown tomatoes.

I thought they only screamed as they were running away from you Wemi...
