Is it better to have master musician to buff, or would having level 4 in the technique line and in the knowledge line be just as effective? Thanks!

The difference between tech 4 and master is about 10%.

i.e. a master is 100% effective at giving the buff and someone with tech 4 will be 90%, you make the call on whether that is pretty much the same.

You're right, the difference is 75% to 100%.

So much for my good memory.

Are you sure about that? I just logged out, so I can't check, but I thought the 'Mind enhancement' skill that affects the buff size was 75 at Tech IV and 100 at master, so there'd be a 25% difference. With secondary stats, I think that'd be a pretty big. Well, unless the listener has only 250 or so focus/willpower to start with...

And as far as I know, the knowlege skill doesn't affect the buff. I admit I haven't done a whole lot of testing as far as the duration, but for the people I've buffed the focus/willpower increase is always 103% (I have a +3 mind enhancement skill attachment) no matter what song/instrument I'm using.
