Thread: One Less Master.
My one and only character is Shiba, on Scylla, and Ive decided to surrender my Master Musician skills... I just dont like what this class has become, the Coronet cantina is an joke, the macrotainers outnumber the ones who are actually there at least 5 to 1 at any time...
People are having combat medics put poisons on themselves only so they can grind healing xp faster, and playing songs with any more then one set of drums just sound horrible in my opinion, but who cares when you get more xp that way, huh? One grinding musician actually adviced me to turn off the sound when playing... I started to think I was the only musician who actually played because he enjoyed it...
So, Ive surrendered most of my musicians skills in favour for Teras Kasi, and am expecting to surrender the rest soon, any musicians on Scylla are free to have my nalargon or omni box if they want it.
I hope there are still some of you out there who play the class because they enjoy, but in my opinion, we're so far outnumbered that is no more fun left to play in teams.
And we lose another one of our own, to AFK/Holotainers.
We had an afk problem before. With Holocrons this has quadrupled.
This is starting to really be a bother.
Most Holo hunter completely dislike our class and make this evident in Cantinas.
It's bad enough that we now have an influx of afk players but they are now poisoning and doing things to the class only a powergamer can do.
Where we used to have an unspoken cohabitation with Healers which was great Powergamers now have their own healers poisoning them for easy heal xp.
As a visitor to our profession please have the curtesy to not stand in the middle of a cantina trashing our class then pause and ask me for an Instrument and a train.
I'm done with this.
We have lost Theed and Coronet.
And that stinks!
Thank goodness for player run cantina's!!
Soon as our Cities have ports we may be in better shape.
But losing Theed and Coronet stinks.

Sorry to see you go. FWIW, playing private gigs, or joining a band, or both, often allows you to avoid the problems you mentioned in your post.
Anyway, good luck with your new profession.
i dont really understand how people use theed and cornet as an excuse. they are merely 2 towns on the map of towns that has recently doubled. go to a new town and try it out. my guild has our own cantina and its great. its a blast to have a great looking personally decorated cantina to play in and not be surrounded by new musicians playing sw1. i do still play in cornet from time to time, b/c the xp is good for the healing boxes. i only have one of those left however and then ill totally be done there. but really, try a nice new player town or one of the others besides theed and cornet.
go in, sit down, join the one other musician/dancer there, and ballad, waltz, jazz to your hearts content
