Ahh so turning them on and off does nothing? I would think the Dev's could amplify the sound.

I've played with them outside one of the starports (Theed or Coronet maybe?) and turned them on and off repeatedly. It didn't seem to do anything at all. Perhaps someone else has an idea of whether or not there is a purpose to them...
I have mine up in a cantina, and they look simply MAHHVALOUS there. Seeing as I think that's where they belong anyway. Ricky, you have any ideas?

Yeah im looking to put speakers in my cantina but Architechts say they cant make em! Plz tell me where I can obtain them.

Loudspeakers and Microphones are the result of a mission. I have no idea which one, or where to even begin looking. But i received a pair from and architect who was helping me decorate. I would suggest looking on vendors (some out of the way, sells everything kind of vendor) rather than the bazaars. Also, I would ask around to see if these are a reward from any missions that someone has done. Try searching the forums for loudspeaker missions.

if you turn the microphone on outside you can heal and buff people.
i am unaware that you can get the microphone. can somebody tell me how to get the microphone? i have the loudspeakers...

I'm almost sure you can't get the microphone. But as for the speakers, do missions from NPCs marked as "criminals." The missions you get are randomly chosen out of a certain set of missions, and sometimes the mission gets you a speaker.

Well waaaaaay back in beta I asked the same question and was told that someday that these things will work. But, They are waaaaaay down on the list of things to fix, so dont look for them to work anytime soon.
Sure would be nice to see them give us veteran master musicians a new song, or ceremonial back. LOL
Like that will ever happen.
Im not sure where you get the speakers or the mic, and im not even sure you can even get the mic yet.
The speakers can be found but im not sure where. Maybe someday the dev's will fix the best dang profession in the game, heck! The best dang idea for a profession in a game!
And did I mention we should have ceremonial song given back to us? LOL
Never did figure out what was goin through their head when they pulled that one. Taking the mando was one thing, but taking the song was down right evil. Maybe olevader decided that one LOL.

they are quest items... im yet to see microphones outside of cantinas such as the ones on dathomir, dantooine and near a few trainers
