I have not ventured, or even registered myself to the boards until recently.. I have been a musician since launch day 1, and initially enjoyed myself tremendously.. I remember the early days when I grew up in Narmle, Rori filled with 30+ people socializing, playing and healing the masses.. The Rori hotel always had a musician/dancer, or group at peek hours playing for the public.. The socializing was awesome, and there was always 3-10 people making routine trips to the hotel lounge for entertainment and conversation.. I even remembered being asked to come along on various hunt missions carrying a cdef pistol
.. The tips were generous before the mission nerf publish..
Then changes happened.. People started leaving Rori because they outgrew the missions, and with NO reason to stay and no new people joining SWG, this left the cities empty.. I and many other entertainers had no choice but to take our leave as well, to gain exp in the major hubs like Theed.. Jedi's and Holo's came out which made it even worse, player cites for the most part in my opinion did not live up to the dreams I thought they would.. Over this winter I sat by and watched many friends leave the game, and I'm afraid that my time is comming very soon as well..
What I'm wishing for and asking in this post is that if there is any Musician, Chef or Dancer that is looking to be an owner of an established player cantina is a Rank 5 Metro, please email me in game on the Radiant server as I would like to make plans to let someone else take over.. I believe I have come to the end game as a musician, and SWG player and soon will be time to move on.. I have waited for news to increase content to keep my interst and purpose in playing, however the devs have never truely and honestly ever acknowledged any entertainer wishes.. Maybe after a year if the Devs ever get to adding more to being an entertainer, I may return, but then I may have other interest by then and never come back..
I can't say that I will miss many as most that I knew as friends are already gone and will never read this.. For the few that are still here playing that I call friend.. I will miss you and hope that we can continue to stay in touch beyond the game.. Good Luck fellow entertainers

Thanks for a well-written post. The tale you tell is all too familiar.Devs, on the remote chance you're reading this thread: wake up!Give us some content! Or at least do something to resurrect cantina life!

TY NewJedi for the compliment..
There are many ways to spark life back into the game and cantinas, and to give purpose to many and those in my position.. I have twice writen feedback and email to Sony asking them to look into my ideas and thoughts, but was rudely never even recognized.. There are easy solutions as I even read here that can accomplish the same things, however, it appears to me that Entertainers and some other professions are at the bottom of the attention list..
I hope some day for those entertainers that are still around and have been waiting for increased purpose and content get what we deserve, however, after 8+ months I can no longer see a reason to pay to play a dead end profession..
- Entertainer missions need revamped
- NPC entertainer quest need attention
- Most empty planets and cantinas need attention and a purpose to be populated again
- Musicians need more diversity and variety
- Buffing needs fixed
- Player Theaters need fixed

do something to resurrect cantina life!
Yup. This is the only avenue that entertainers have to prove themselves, and people are now too spread out for it to ever happen. On the other hand, I think the main problem that Liza had is that Rori sucks, and there are no reasons to go there. Once people woke up they left, it shouldn't be that surprising. (Okay, I'm kidding. Sort of. I hate Rori.)

I have also been a musician since day one and understand what you are going through. Cantinas really used to be fun before the afk struck. THere can be 30+ people in Theed and there will be silence for well over a minute. That is ridiculous. I /mumble to myself more than that!
Anyhow, to keep myself entertained I have come up with wierd/fun roleplaying things like a social justice movement and astock market.
On the boredom note, I have definately been there. Everyone wants to be a stinkin jedi and it is ruining the social fun that was once in the game.

i remember back when the tyrennia cantina was just a bit less busy than coronet... i stoped by a few weeks ago.. just as desolate as almost all the other cantinas...
then again... a few days later, i managed to draw a decent crowd... ten... fifteen.. maybe even twenty..in moenia... just find a fellow musican and play there for a while... someone is bound to show up, well, provided there is people in the city in the first place.
