Thread: I can't get the blasted song out of my head

A word of thanks to the SWG Musician team. I've spent the 10-15 days working on musician. While I did use macros to do all my flourishes, I spend about 80% of my time chatting with my fellow entertainers in the Theed Cantina. As a result of all the grouping I have permantly burnt into my brain the sound of starwars 1 song.

I was walking through the warehouse at my workplace today and out of the blue I found myself humming starwars 1. Going to sleep at night....you guessed it starwars 1. I even called home and hummed a little tune onto my answering maching for my wife to hear. Heh Heh...she hates it. lol

Thanks to the great group out there on the Tarq server. I had a blast with you guys. You get a good group leader, and the xp just rolls in. You get a good group leader with the least amount of afk'ers and a good mind disease combat medic and the xp really flows.

Loved the nargalon flourishes. I'm a wookie - seeing him jump up on that thing is hilarous - not sure what flourish number it is, but I must have done it 30 time or so while taking screenshots.

If I had one wish, it would be that there was more to do as a master musician. As a former master BH, I had endless opportunities to do stuff. There are so few Master Musicians that keep the skill that playing virtuoso is almost impossible. Most people drop Master Musician relatively quickly - although the people reading this post are probably the types to care enough about musician not to drop it. A holo drove me in this direction, and I'm not disappointed in the least. Was happy to go silent after mastering though

Hehe, Star Wars 1 isn't so bad if you can play it without any horns. But of course in a band in a public cantina, you never get to play Star Wars 1 without the horns.

Yes, there are a few of us "lifer" Master Musicians who are always itching to play Virtuoso or Jazz. But you're right, we're not a dime a dozen.

And yes, we need LOTS more to do. I keep telling the devs that. They keep not doing anything about it.

I don't know about you guys, but when I was a musician, whenever I soloed, I would play "folk" on a horn. I think it is the best sounding solo piece/instrument combination. The next might be the mandiovil though I am not sure which song was the best for soloing - I just love the mandiovil in the elite-song list.

Yeah, folk is my favorite song. But you know, starwars1 isn't all that bad if there aren't any horns playing it--get sw1 going with a nalargon, a bandfill, and a mandovial...oohhh it doesn't even sound like the same song.

Yes, I agree. SW1 is......embedded in my brain, but I also agree that it is a great song without any of the Slyth/Far/Traz sound set.

Add a Chidinkalu (or Kloo or Fizzz) to that Nal/Fill/Mando combo and I think it Rocks!!! Add a Slyth back in and my brain melts to pudding.

Glad you enjoyed it even though it was only a holo grind. Oh andthe hop up on the Nal is Flourish 7.

Try listening to Starwars3 on a bandfill! It sounds like a piratey-like tune on that thing. One of my personal fav's.

Star Wars 2 on a bandfill always makes me smile. such a hokey dorky song. I'm sure my PA mates are ready to smack me when they hear it.

hehe I know what you mean--except I put up with it in RL. My dormmates have gotten tired of most of the player music. 8-b

I agree with Tralmek...Starwars1 with an Ommni box, Mandoviol and a Narlagon sounds greats. The horns are what ruins it because they drown out the other instruments with that irritating doo doo da doo doo da DOO DOO da DOO DOO riff.

I also think that Folk sounds great.

Starwars2 on an Ommni/bandfill sounds kind of like a polka.
