This has been brought up recently on another thread, as well with others before.. How does SOE promote the idea of grouping, yet also diversity so that you don't end up with 100 entertainers in Theed cantina, where 70% of them are AFK? The mystery of it all... Has anyone ever been to a theater? Do you know what the inside of a hotel looks like? Or even realize you can heal there as well? I think most of us that are, or were diehard musician know those answers..However, how does 1 or 2 dedicated musicians talk a group of AFK holotainers to move to the theater?or hotel? The game currently has 5 static locations that allow musicians to perform.. Well sorta if you consider the backroom of a player theater as a healing location.. Anyways, let me see if I can start a thread on general ideas.. I only have a couple weeks left before my account goes bye bye, so I'll try to make the most of it, and hope that maybe sometime down the distant road musician and all entertainers are revamped with more content and options..

  1. NPC Cantinas = This structure seems to be the #1 choice of gatherings... Why?, I have no clue.. There is no defined stage area of performance.. It's basically nothing more then a gaggle of AFK and whatnots in a huddle in the middle of the room.. FIX = change the interior design of the cantina to allow for a stage.. If this means making the 500 yard long bar smaller, so be it.. In addition I would promote cantinas that would allow for chefs to untilize the bar to sell their products.. A seperate general use NPC chefvendor(s) can be put in place that only allows for food/drink items.. Any chef can put their products on this NPC vendor and treat it just like planetary bazaar terminals..For the entertainers I would add this perk.. A seperate mission terminal within the structure that rewards you with "playing" time.. AFK people would not be able to take part in this due to the fact of interaction with the terminal would be required..

  2. NPC Theaters = This structure is a wonderful structure, but so under utilized, the only time it's visited is to received training.. FIX = Image Designers get a significant bonus in customizing looks.. I would even go as far to say that while within a theater, NEW options become available that are unavailable anywhere else.. Again I would add a NPC chef vendor somewhere on location... For the Musician/Dancers I would again offer a mission terminal pay system, but less then one can receive from a cantina.. Additional perk for the dancer/musician would be that ALL buffs are given a bonus above any location.. Rather it be duration of buff, or increase stat itself.. Theaters would become the primary location to receive buffs..

  3. NPC Hotels = This structure is basically again only used by entertainers when no other options are available, like in Narmle, Rori.. FIX = Add a NPC chef vendor once again.. For the Image Designers, I would make this a fun spot for them.. First add a few NPC's that can have their looks modified by ID's only.. Second, allow those NPC's to be mission generators.. What I mean here is to allow the ID to converse with the NPC, and accept a mission where changing the NPC's looks are rewarded.. YES.. ID's now have a way of earning an income doing their job, outside of players tips.. For the musician/dancers, I would offer an mission pay system again, however the pay would be more then a thearter, but less then a cantina.. Furthermore I would allow a slight bonus in buffing, but not as great as what a theater location can offer..

  4. Player Cantinas = great design, however way to often empty of patrons.. FIX = I would offer a slight image design bonus on location.. Add mission terminal pay system, but minimal.. NO buff bonuses, however I would strongly push for SOE to generate a better gambling interface and offer new gambling machines ONLY found in player cantinas.. FUN FUN..

  5. Player Theaters = COMPLETE FLOP (in my opinion) FIX = make it indoor enclosed.. A complete revamp of this structure is needed.. Once that is done and you can actually buff, heal and decorate as one should, then I would do the following.. Add buff bonuses on location, equal to that of a NPC hotel.. Add a mission terminal pay system, even lower then a player cantina..

I hope that starts something, good luck all
