Which crafting tool do you use to make Instruments?

You can use a Generic Crafting Tool to make the Slitherhorn, Fizzz and Fanfar. Starting with the Kloo Horn (you don't get this schematic or the one for the Fanfar 'til Novice Musician) you have to use a specialized tool, theDroid, Weapon and General Item Crafting Tool. The instruments are on the General Item tab on both tools. When using the specialized tool, if you're near a crafting station you get the option to experiment. Experimentation currently does not mean a thing for instruments, as instrument quality is a null factor.

To expand on Echinacea's post, and I'm sure she will correct me if I misstate this.... 8)

I believe that the top three instruments, the Chidinkalu Horn, the Ommni Box and the NalargonNEED to be crafted in the presence of a crating station. If you are not near a public station or have rights to a nearby private station you will not be able to make them.

Someone please double check me as I don't have the game here, but I do recall it pretty well.... I think.

I'm almost sure they don't? I step right outside the Coronet Cantina to call out my 'instrument stand' MSE droid, which is nothing more than storage for my instruments and instrument crafting resources. Then I whip up whatever anyone wanted, up to and including the narlagon. I know there's no public station out there, and I've done it when I'm pretty sure no one's had a general item crafting station droid out. I do it at all hours. So I think none of the instruments hit the complexity level that requires a crafting station, much less a personal one.

Again you are right and I am wrong.....maybe it was needed earlier before some publish update or they changed when you needed to start using a W/D/G tool....I've been MM too long and as I havea W/D/G station in my droid, I always craft instruments with a station.

I've been MM for over 6 months.....man......

I must like this game 8-)
