Thread: Does bio clothing affect mind buffs?
Er I meant if you as an entertainer are wearing +14 entertainer healing clothes. Will you give better buffs?

I just posted this a bit ago to the Buff FAQ...
_____
Skill tapes with the Musical Mind Enhancement attribute add to the buff value, however do not affect buff duration. Each + of MME adds 1% to the buff value, therefore,as I currently have various tapes in 7 different pices of clothing totaling +12, I, as a Master Musician buff at 112%. There is no Bio-Engineered clothing that enhances the Buffing attribute, though there are Bio-clothes that do enhance musical wound and BF healing.

I've seen two people now who ought to know bettersay that Myoflex-enhanced clothing helps with Battle Fatigue healing. This is inaccurate. The bio-engineered tissue that adds to entertainer skills adds only to Dance & Music Wound Healing. The only way to get mods to BF Healing are via skill tapes. Add that to not getting skills to actually heal BF until Novice Musician or Dancer...and BF healing is seriously out of whack with the healing of Mind wounds. Especially considering that many players let their Fatigue get to ridiculous levels before getting it taken care of, but can take care of mind wounds by sitting in med centers or camps, even without the intervention of an entertainer.
I spent several months as a Master Bio-Engineer before I got tired of it. I can say with a moderate amount of certainty that tissues will only ever be a mild novelty for performers. Keldarin doesn't pay enough attention to bio-engineering to do anything that would rectify the situation.
I stand corrected. I made a guess on the EXACT properties of something that Ihave casuallyglanced at, and apologise for it. For me extra healing properties for wound or battle fatigue makes no difference and I am not looking to aquire anything to help either, so I didn't notice that the Bio only does wound. There are plenty of AFK people scattered all arround to get healing from and I've never heard a player complain about healing taking a few extra seconds or minutes.
I think you are correct about the bio clothes for entertainers...novelty at best as they currently exist. I have no use for them. MME skill tapes, well thats different. I got a +5 MME tape yesterday and man does it help. I'm up to 116% buffs. If they introduced a Bio for that...well I'm first in line.

Hmm, so if I delete the last two words from Fragpuppie's draft, is the resulting FAQ entry accurate?
