As you can tell by my signature below, I started SWG in the combat classes as a MBH. As I was moving up the BH skill trees, I decided to get novice medic to give myself some much needed help out there.
After getting used to how the medic profession worked, I started healing everyone I could while I would be waiting in the hospitals, cantinas and even while waiting at the shuttle ports. This was fun to me and I felt good about helping others out like this. As I am sure they were for me helping them when they needed it.
Right after reaching the MBH level,I realized thatSWGscrewed up with respect to theJedi profession, and them being able toget tothe master level without any real checks andbalances being put into place. I knew my job as a MBH was going to get more and more difficult as the dev's "Fixed" the Jedi profession.
It was then I decided to park my MBH until he had a support charcter to help him out when fighting Jedi.I then madeanother account to make myself a"Total Support" character for my MBH. The new character is going to be a Master Musician& Master Doctor. This is so he can heal, rez and buff everything(Except the primary mind) on my MBH at any time and anywhere he may need it.
Then it happened...
Right after I mastered Musician I found myself hanging out at the Dantooine mining outpost cantina (For no other reason that to help people out in the boonies), healing and mind buffing anyone who wanted it. I also run around all the star ports with my surg droid, healing everyone that needs it, when there is no one at the Dantooine star port to take care of.
All of a sudden something dawned on me.
I was having way to much fun, making lots of new friends and helping others when they truly needed it. As a matter of fact... I make more moneyin less time now, without having to kill anything, then I ever did doing any missions.
The funny part is that I do not charge anything for my services. I give everything away for free and practice random kindness on everyoneI come accross. I tell everyone that my services are free, but I do accept small gratuities if they can spare it.I always look to see if they tipped me (They always do) and then thank them weather it was a 100 credit tip or a 20k credit tip. As I do not care about the amount as much as I do about the gesture.Everyone does not have lots of money all the time.
I still go hunting with my MBH, because I have to get out there and kill stuff from time to time... But it is real fun having the contrast between playing a killing machine and a healing machine. They are both fun in their very own ways.
I appolagize for this getting so long, and for all the negative things I have said about the entertainer (Support) professions in the past. I just really felt the need to elaborate on how fun it is bing a "Total Support" character. Especially coming from a person who used to laugh at the entertainer professions and wonder how someone could ever play this profesison and have it be fun for them at all.I understand completley now, and my hat is off to all of you practicing entertainers out there.
I never thought it would be this fun having a character that is not able to fight and kill stuff.
If you have a cantina or a venue in the Scylla galaxy that you would like me to come play in from time to time, just e-mail me the location and name in game. Thank you for the invites in advance.
P.S. I always tipped my entertainers, so it was not me who stiffed you. Lol.
P.S.S. My "Support Characters" name is XYLOX in game.
/Salute to all Entertainers.

Hallelujah! Can I get an 'Amen'?
Nah, seriously. Welcome to the OTHER side of the game. Yet another person realising you don't have to kill things to have fun...
And to all you combat-wombats out there... MC or MBH may make you look tough... But to the entertainers, it looks like you're compensating for something... We DO talk about you guys after you leave... *grin*

I applaud your commentary. I myself enjoy being a Master Musician greatly. I would add something to your above statement though. Although I love playing and buffing and all of the typical entertainer things, I also love the more violent aspects of this game. Though it took all of my skill points to do it, I have made a Master Musician with above average combat abilities, being a mid-level Rifleman, Marksman, Scout and Medic. You can find a balance if you want to. You don't have to commit the rest of your SWG days to just entertainment if you like other points of the game as well. Hope this helps would be entertainerstodecidewhether or notthey're sacrificing any part of the game for the entertainment skill tree. Though it is true, you can never master the BH tree if you are a master Dancer, or Musician, unfortunately.
