1. Less congestion within overcrowded cantina's.


2. Spreading the Entertainers around a bit other than one location.


3. Allows non-entertainer players a reason to visit other parts of a city.


4. Musicians who can play an Omni-box or Nalagron don't need to have one in their inventory....they are already present and free to use in these locations.


5. Add to the feel of an alive city and Star Wars ambiance...Imagine walking out of a Starport in a major city, and as son as you walk outside you are greeted to quite a musical/dancing show!

So list your idea's, issues, concerns to break up overcrowded Cantinas and spread the Entertainer profession around a bit.

Maybe a weekly concert series? An actual band that can attract groupies who travels from city to city, planet to planet...perhaps sponsered by a guild or a PA. Maybe Dev's can introduce an incentive to play in these locations (Better XP?, Quest fulfillment? Ent. Mission Terminals?, More static artwork or deviced to interact with?)

I want to hear from you...

That would be cool. But to be frank I have never seen (atleast to my knowledge) an outdoor stage...

Well, maybe I should rephrase 'stage'.....There is not a raised platform per-se, but often large cities have an open area with free standing speakers, a mic, instruments and sometimes a Musician Trainer NPC.

There is one just outside the Theed Spaceport....If you are exiting the Spaceport and facing the Shuttleport, it is towards your left hand side in the direction of the cloning center.

I have come across a few of these designated, yet dead areas, in the larger cities.

The only outdoor location I know of that you can actually heal at is Vreni Island.

the whole reason why the two cantinas theed and coronet are so packed is because that is where everybody goes to get healed. they know they can get healed fast there so they go there. thus the entertainers looking for healing xp go there to heal the people they know will be there. it is a catch 22 that has killed most real entertainers thoughts of entering npc cantinas.

Yeah, I played around with the instruments/mic/speakers in such a place. Got the mic on and the speakers on, played the complimentary nalragon... you can't heal mind wounds or battle fatigue, or buff. It actually can be fun doing what you're suggesting, but the people who stop by to watch you will still have to go to the cantina afterwards.

Lorn, I participate in a Monday Night Party that has been ongoing since November ( I think). the party started in Clear Water's City Hall, and when the cantina went up, we moved to the Red Lekku. I'm currently tossing around the idea of doing a few Mondays in other Player Cities' cantinas just to get out and meet the neighbors and other live entertainers. I've been in contact with about 3 other people on my server that are interested in playing at the other static venues. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is this: I'm moving towards your plan slowly but surely, I suggest you don't hold your breath and keep on pluggin' towards having your concerts on Verni Island.

Maybe when I have enough creds I'll hire Fragpuppie to have a huge band on Verni Island.
