Thread: Outside stages underutilized....Ideas from you to get bands outside....
- Less congestion within overcrowded cantina's.
- Spreading the Entertainers around a bit other than one location.
- Allows non-entertainer players a reason to visit other parts of a city.
- Musicians who can play an Omni-box or Nalagron don't need to have one in their inventory....they are already present and free to use in these locations.
- Add to the feel of an alive city and Star Wars ambiance...Imagine walking out of a Starport in a major city, and as son as you walk outside you are greeted to quite a musical/dancing show!
So list your idea's, issues, concerns to break up overcrowded Cantinas and spread the Entertainer profession around a bit.
Maybe a weekly concert series? An actual band that can attract groupies who travels from city to city, planet to planet...perhaps sponsered by a guild or a PA. Maybe Dev's can introduce an incentive to play in these locations (Better XP?, Quest fulfillment? Ent. Mission Terminals?, More static artwork or deviced to interact with?)
I want to hear from you...
Well, maybe I should rephrase 'stage'.....There is not a raised platform per-se, but often large cities have an open area with free standing speakers, a mic, instruments and sometimes a Musician Trainer NPC.
There is one just outside the Theed Spaceport....If you are exiting the Spaceport and facing the Shuttleport, it is towards your left hand side in the direction of the cloning center.
I have come across a few of these designated, yet dead areas, in the larger cities.
Lorn, I participate in a Monday Night Party that has been ongoing since November ( I think). the party started in Clear Water's City Hall, and when the cantina went up, we moved to the Red Lekku. I'm currently tossing around the idea of doing a few Mondays in other Player Cities' cantinas just to get out and meet the neighbors and other live entertainers. I've been in contact with about 3 other people on my server that are interested in playing at the other static venues. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is this: I'm moving towards your plan slowly but surely, I suggest you don't hold your breath and keep on pluggin' towards having your concerts on Verni Island.
Maybe when I have enough creds I'll hire Fragpuppie to have a huge band on Verni Island.
