...and I feel so guilty! I am a Master Musician, and Master Entertainer, and used to have Dance up to Tech 4 for buffing. I am taking up TKA and need buffing in all my stats for hunting big game.

Here's what I used to do every 2 hours when trying to hunt on Dantoine. 1) go to Coronet, get Doc buffs, takes max 10 minutes I have found, rarely longer. 2)go to the cantina in Coronet and try to find someone to buff me, especially Musician, rarely do. One time I did but it was screwed up somehow and it was only for an hour,I think he might have stopped playing he didnt seem to know much about buffing. 3) See if any friends are on who can buff me (Thank god for Tarot!) and go to where ever they are for the mind buff 4) make my way back to the Dantoine Pirate outpost, and lucky to have an hours worth of buffs left (and sometimes unsuccessful in finding mind buffs at all, so settled for lesser missions or grouping up at the mining outpost)

Now here is what I do every 2 hours 1)Go to Coronet, get doc buffs 2) Go directly to the Pirate Outpost on Dantoineand drink 2 brandy's (thats 440 addedto Mind, Focus and Willpower) and can last up to 45min, I got cheap 32min ones, but they do the trick too.

I honestly think the Chef's Brandy is at least strong competition to entertainers, but more likely a replacement for entertainer buffsas I have found in the field. But its needed as it is so difficult to get proper entertainer buffs, in my opinion. So in other words, entertainers main role now is simply to heal mind wounds and battle fatigue. Its still kind of fun to play one though for roleplaying and entertaining, just expect less players calling on you for buffing. (Personally, I am not sure I mind that, at times it can be annoyinggetting tells to go buff them god knows where, for 10k no less:smileymad

Oh, just so you know, they come in crates of over 30, each one has 18 doses (yep, thats somewheres about 600 doses). My cheapo ones were 70k for the crate, the good ones I havent really shopped around, seen advertised for 300k. So thats about 500 credits a dose for good ones. Or to compare it to entertainer buffs,6 doses will buff your mind stats 440for 2 hours and 15 minutes(using 2 doses at a time), and cost 3k.

Anyways, just what I have learned playing around with tka and the new Brandy, let me know what you think.

Yeah, I love the stuff too. It still compliments the entertainer buffs, though--takes the stats up like a doc's.I agree, though, hated searching for a musician, especially being one. There's lots of entertainers, but masters were too hard to find.Nice to not have to worry about it anymore, agreed.

I noticed there was new food that helped: Entertainment Healing (dancer)

Hm, not that I'd really care, but I'm taking a wild guess here and assuming there isn't any for musicians?

So does the brandy's buff stack with ours? If so, then there's still plenty of reason to seek us out.

In my PA's weekly hunt, our town's Master Musician (me) and Master Dancer travel to the jumping-off point and buff everyone for 10 minutes (in the group buff). It takes minimal planning, and the buff is free.

Personally, I wouldn't want there to be too much competition. The fact that food buffs stack with other buffs is foods greatest strength, in my opinion.

Ah thanks.

Yes, the brandy stacks with the musician/dancer buffs, bringing the buffs up to doc levels. Buy a case right now, NewJedi.

Get hooched, get lubed, get armored. I love hunting parties, everybody intoxicated and strung out, half of them puking from downers. I wish the movies were like this! I bet Obi Wan was having withdrawls (I saw Train Spotting!), why Darth beat him. And Darth was probably drunk as hell.

The brandy is fantastic, especially if you can get your hands on some that is BE enhanced (400+ per stat). I don't think this is a bad thing for entertainers, because for those that play as I do (master rifleman), doing tough missions, raids, cave POIs, you need all the buffing you can get. The food being better now is a huge bonus, but it doesn't last for 2 hours, and honestly for me, if I'm going to wear my full suit of armor, I *must* have both dancer and musician buffs to be effective.

I just created an additional character (will be master dancer/musician) on my server for the sole purpose of buffing me and whoever is in my group when I go out. For any profession that has a huge mind drain (BEs, Rifleman, ?), the entertainer buffs are great - I think the word needs to spread more in the cantinas and the explorer planets (Dantooine, Dathomir, etc.) that we can perform these services as well as heal your BF and mind wounds. I've been playing the game since August and I just found out a couple weeks ago when I picked up Rifleman (I was a BE/Crafter) that these buffs were possible.
