Actually, that's not a dumb question at all. Even with the ability to selectively colour words like tip, when you're flourishing, it gets lost quickly. I've started a seperate tab for system messages to get the flourish spam out of spatial, but now I also lose the tip messages- last night I was tipped 10k for being ATK, and later another of the group was tipped 100k.

Actually, this might be too easily exploitable... a repeating /tip 1 macro might pop up enough windows to make PvP unbearable. If they implement it ( and I'd like it ) it needs an automatic turn down option like grouping.

Thanks for your post, homebreu. I've mentioned this suggestion to the devs before; some players have advocated it not only to help us track tips, but also as a way to discourage AFK'ing. But the suggestion does indeed raise the concern nvoigt mentions: people could harass others with popups. Now, one way around that would be to make the popup window optional. That would still achieve your goal, I think. So I'm happy to pass it on again.

FWIW, you can colorize tip messages, as well as heal messages. In the CTL O options menu, click on Chat Color, then type in a phrase you'd like colorized, select a color (red works well),and select the option to colorize the entire sentence in which that phrase appears. E.g., type in "tips you", click red, click colorize whole sentence, and presto, it works. Do the same for "have received" to cover bank tips.

Just make tips beep when you get them, like tells.
