Seeing how fast they've (the devs) done other things for us, I'd make the estimate of 5 months to a year.

[Delves into his notes for "How to be an effective SWG Dev."]

[Follows suggested response guidelines]

A musician buff can be applied to someone who is currently listening to you. Use the /setperform command to direct your performance to them, and apply the buff. If you buff properly, you should have no need to buff over old or insufficient buffs. So, just buff properly.

[Strays from Dev Script]

We could tell you how exactly the buffing system works so you could buff properly every time, but we won't because, well, we don't want to. We like to laugh when your buffs keep failing or end up weak for no apparent reason. This is why we make the NPC's wander through the cantina. What, you thought they were for ambience? Oh my, no. We watch through their eyes to make sure the game is working as intended, which of course, it is.

[Waits for the pink slip to show up on his desk]

I don't have problems with buffs anymore. I just make sure the person is listening then I flourish 5 times a musical exp tic(if you don't get exp just make a repeating macro that just keeps throwing out flourishes without delay, only the ones that work will register). I do this for 3 min 20 seconds and then make sure they type /stoplisten before I stop playing(even though it normally works regardless even if I allready stopped playing). Learned all this stuff at http://www.swgentertainer.com/and I've been giving buffs like crazy. Only 2 things but me - the fact that I can't buff myself and the fact that I hear dancer buffs don't stack.

I do that same thing, but sometimes it just doesn't work. Go figure.

Then again, though our buffing process is fairly straightforward, what it's actually doing when it's supposed to be working is as mysterious as the ways of the Force...
