I found this link on the CH forums pointing at a little statistics exercise someone had done. It makes interesting reading. However these figures should be taken with a pinch of salt as the poster says, the figures can be twisted to mean anything. I do think it confirms my personal belief thatlittle work is done by the devs (as posted in their update notes)to fix/benefit the entertainer professions.

I know we had the /denyservice command for both dancer and musician added and our buff strength/duration enhanced... What are these other changes he had in his stats I wonder? The title changes?
The rest of our skills are exactly the same as they werethe last day ofbeta 3.

It is rather worthless Stars. It is only the number of changes, not the size of them. The corvette, the warren, and the death-watch bunker, was all rather large additions content wise, compared to our... what new contend did we get?

you have to remember that the whole /buff thing was added content 
Then the rest I think was fixing the /buff stuff.
There was the new craftable leotard for dancers which might be included *shrug*
All I know is I'm a master musician/entertainer with politician as my third prof. Where's my love? Thank the lord I didn't pick Squad Leader (like I had planned).

I found it most interesting to see the attitude of a couple of players about what entertainers are. An AFK profit center was an interesting bent, sad that person didn't realize how few people actually do tip the AFK buff bots. I'm very new to playing music and I know there are too many bots but its frightening to think that players actually think that is the only kind of entertainer out there.
I picked up musician only two weeks ago to complement a friend's dancer so I'm normally accompanied by her. Even with that I find several ATK entertainers when I go to Theed or Mos Eisley on the Corbantis server. Its been so much fun I'm not doing harvesting (my main source of income and a good one). Ah well perhaps as the grind faids and the jedi wanna-be flood disipates it will start becoming apparent how starved this profession is, who knows. In the mean time I'll continue tocompose songs formy lady friendto dance to

As I noted in that thread, at least we're a notch higher than the Dancers. /emote thumbs his nose at Panthu.
