Thread: Musician Gigs via the terminal
Ok, Im making a thread....on count that Im trying to figure these things out. If anyone has figured it out yet pleae chime in...otherwise I'll post what i find out.
1)The musician gigs are mislabled still as dancer gigs...I hope thats not screwing us over
2)The first missions are on difficulty lvl of 0, and pay pretty crappy. Does the difficulty lvl increase as you finish lesser levels? (I.E. do you have to work your way up the gig ladder?)
3)Waypoints still in goofy areas.
4)Has anyone figure out how long you have to play at a gig? So far one took me over 15 mins...(for 107 credits)...stinko. Another one took like 5 mins. Random?

Gigs timed according to Music Exp gained. Thus a Master working a Narg and floing 2 every click made the mission end in under five minutes. (45 per click)
Now after the patch even tho you can take two missions they pay worse than the NPC mission from yesterday.
Can you believe someone in an office somewhere thought to themselves....."Hmmm, let's NERF the musicians...they are way too powerful now"

well I sugested before this awfull gig mission terminal thing to do it this way
at the entrance to every canteen is a owner or promoter NPC
you can get a 'mission" or "gig" to play in that canteena for X ammount of time for X ammount of money
the better you are the more money it would pay the longer the gig the more it would pay
so you take a play for 30 min gig your a master it pays maby 1200 you go in play for that time and get the money then go do somthing else or take another gig or jsut keep on laying for free
now I can get2 destroy missions in the same direction (and ususaly im going that way anyway) to kill some wimpy creatures even at pistol specailist for 1000 - 1500 credits each (one shot krettles or gorg or minocks or even the dreded dwarf nunans)
it takes me less than 20 min to do them both there is no risk of death no expended resourses except my time and I can make 3k pluss hides or bones or meat
so if we got paid 1000 credits to play for 30 min in a canteena that we were at it would not be a game unbalancer we would be making far far less then the mighty destroy missions
now if the DEV's want another drain on money they can charge a cover charge for everyone to get in say 100 credits this happens all the time in real life cover charges or two drink min's
So epople wanting to get healed go in pay 100 credits the entertainers are already getting paid so they dont haev to beg for tips they can work for more or extra tips if they do a good job
solves the tip problem the mission problem the split of tips problem adds another drain win win win
well the cheaapscate fighters that dont want to tip or pay can beg players to play for them in camps or hosues outside but then the balls in our court sure ill come play for you but now I want pay in advance
simple to program simple to do and works

Seriously, that could be the kicker. I've tracked the amount of XP I've gained, but haven't done enough missions to notice a trend. Personally, I won't until they're worth my time. I can make more money doing delivery missions and then visiting the cantina at the end city, joining the band and getting the random /tip ![]()
I get a lvl 60 music mission for 190 credits...
Useless missions.
