Thread: Naly bug? needs to be fixed either way

I was playing in my favorite tavern today (Anchorhead), and there was an MM in the group with us (a non-afk MM, who just got MM today). And of course, he was playing his now treasured naly. Well, some wookie walked into the bar, and I think he "used" the naly, because somehow, he could keep getting the naly to unspawn from under the MM, and spawn to him. This, needless to say, infuriated the MM, and he actually used quite a few profanities when he told the wookie to leave. This "bug" definetely needs to be fixed, probably something along the lines of having personal "set-up" instruments (the naly and the omni) be only "useable" by the owned of the instrument. This naly spawn thing was just ridiculous, and the MM could do nothing to stop it. Also, I'm kinda tired of other musicians hi-jacking my omni, but its more of a joke than anything else, so its not that big of a deal.

I agree with you !

This bug is annoying. When someone starts to play with my Nalargon, I stop playing it !

Moreover before the 'big patch' we can take up the Nalargon/ommni before leaving or when changing instruments, and I didn't notice people playing with our Nalargon either.

Please restore at least the 2 instruments the previous way !

I realize that you don't actually hold these in your hand, but it would be so much better if you could just "equip" them so that you didn't need to keep them targetted and other players couldn't fiddle with 'em.

I would also like to see some type of way to make it so that the omni and naly could not be deployed by people that do not have enough skill to use one. Anchorhead's tavern is small enough, and I already complain about people bringing their damned rancors in and plopping on top of me, now I have to deal with the novice musicians who think its great fun to plop a naly down, then play their traz while sitting in it. In AH the other day, there were 5 people doing this, it filled up the whole tavern! and as a side note, we also need some way to set a "band leader" so the newbie musicians don't munch up all my action health running band flourishes and saying, wow, this gives me great exp (when its really me and my omni thats giving them great exp, not the band flourishes).

You guys may think this is evil, but I saw someone AFK macroing on a Omni. So just to play a little joke I started to play his Omni, he was already about 3m away from it looking like a fool playing air instead of the Omni. So as I was playing it I kept stopping and playing, stopping and playing the instrument which kept on moving it away from him. I kept on doing until it disappeared back into his inventory so now he was just standing there AFK doing nothing cause I made his instrument disappear, the Omni and Nar disappear once you are to far from it, it was bound to happen anyway so I just made it faster. While I was on my way to MAster I've seen people try to Macro with an Omni and they get far away from it and they look so stupid sitting in the air, banging nothing.

Yes, I do think that's evil! That doesn't make you any less cool for doing it. A new movement has been born: the AFKOPS: The AFK Ommni Pilfering Squad!

whats reallyanoying is that they can move it if its sitting in your house too, right out the door to where you cant pick it up anymore.

ick kiasha, haven't had that happen to me yet luckily.

Personally I wouldn't like it if they stopped everybody from bein able to use it, just with that it would stay where it is when they do. So instead of the musician who placed it lookin odd playin in the air, the person trying to use it would be. I like the fact that multiple musicians can play the nalargon and omnibox as it adds to the presecne a bit when you're on opposite sides of the keyboard or facing a beautiful musician while playing the omni .

One thing I wish that they would add to the omni-box is when another musician sits an additional chair would appear -- as is now I just place my omnibox so its in the same spot with the chair sticking out 90 degrees from the current player (when I do do this). But it takes a while to get it just right, and would be a lot easier/quicker to just sit and have it auto-move you to the correct position, first 180 degree's then either side (so the order of new musicians would be directly across from the original player, left of the original player then right of the original player).

Just a way to add to the visual pleasure a bit IMO.
