Hi Musicians,
I just wanted to make my comments about this profession. I'm about to master the profession on my quest to become a Jedi. I certainly would not have chosen to become a musician if it weren't for the jedi cube, but I have actually gotten some enjoyment out of it!
I had stopped playing SWG for about 2 months because I had become bored (mostly due to all the RUNNING I had to do). So then I heard that we got cubes as gifts, and that player vehicles were introduced... So what the heck, I gave the game a shot again. My cube told me to become Master Musician, so I thought I'd give it a go. It's a fairly passive profession, it can't be too hard.
Anyway, I have met the greatest people in the cantinas. It's been very welcoming and fun! I even made an effort to role-play a bit, and got appropriate clothes for my seedy cantina lifestyle. My character was headed for the Bounty Hunter profession, so this is a huge switch! I've got my bounty hunter clothes stashed away, as part of my character's past. I may go back to it after I master musician, but I don't want to surrender my musician skills.
I have also made some non-entertainer friends who rely on me to mind buff them and I have made some great money that way! Who knew a musician could make so much?? I've made about 150k in the past two weeks as a musician, which is much faster than my tailor character ever made money!
Anyway, just wanted to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this profession. I will probably visit the cantinas again in the future and dust off my bandfill.
Time to find what other professions I've been missing out on...
Cheers!
