What if entertainers had the ability to be useful in a combat group???? What if we had something like mesmerize or stun???
The ability to pause the actions of the mob for a period of time on success..... This would be like DAOCs musician type classes but would give us more purpose...

Or having some of those beautiful young Twi'lek's (sp?) (and other female species too) Flash the opposite faction during battle lol. I'm sure that'd Stun the Beegeezus out of the enemy!

I think the devs wanted to make sure that professions like entertainer and artisan stayed out of battle. It is a development thought line. They can say you can play and never have to enter combat. So ideas that put entertainers in battles are always thrown out. Plus most entertainers dont have enough Health to be in a real fight. lol. One hit from a Tusken and your dead. 
Thats the problem with the dev thought pattern lately. They wanna say that you never have to fight but they dont want to do anything to fix the things that are wrong with those non-combat professions. Or add content for them... or anyone... lol
...grumble...grumble...
Although it would be cool to see a combat musician profession.
