Ok, quick question. Do I use the ability vitalize to buff? I tried it, but then it said I could not use this ability for about another hour.... So can I only buff once every hour?

And one other question while I make this topic, how did you guys get your healing xp, it is taking me so long and it's kinda hard for me to organize a combat medic and ppl to watch me for me to gain enough xp to master musician.

I believe Vitalize is a skill only for Zabracks and not a musician skill at all. Im not 100% sure on that though. And that would be why you have a one hour timer.

Buffing depends on the "Musical Mind Enhancement" skill, which you acquire at Novice Musician and improve by training up the Tech tree. As far as I know, it has nothing to do with any "vitalize" skill; perhaps someone can enlighten me as to what "vitalize" is.

You can buff as often as you like.If you're using the active (/setperform) buff, you can buff only person at a time. If you're using the passive (grouped) buff, you can buff up to 19 other people at once.

The only time in which "serial buffing" may not work is when you try to buff the same person over and over. If the listener gets the buff and immediately dies, sometimes the buff timer does fail to reset. But in most cases, you can buff all night long.

For more info, please see the "buff FAQ" that is sticki'ed to the top of this forum.

As for healing XP, I played in large public cantinas (Coronet, in my case) and tried to join big bands so that I'd share in healing XP when fighters came in to heal. I have a friend who just mastered Dancer in a week at Coronet doing the same thing.

I think I answered this question in another thread, but to add a thought or two: after you select your buff target, ask them to /listen to you, then type /setperform, then pick a high-level song and instrument, then be sure to flourish frequently for about 10 minutes (or longer, depending on your skill). The listener should not move away from you. After 10-15 minutes, ask the listener to /stoplisten.

There's a FAQ on the buff sticki'ed at the top of this forum.

Hmm... I don't really know what the "Vitalize" ability is, but I'm pretty sure I don't use it when buffing. To buff someone, you need to have them start listening to you (or watching you if you are a dancer), and then type /setperform to start performing for them. The person will need to listen to you (or watch you) for 8-15 minutes, and then they should stop listening/watching you, which is when they should receive the buff. How good the buff is, and how long it lasts depends on your Musical Mind Enhancement or Dancing Mind Enhancement abilities.

As for getting healing experience, I'm afraid I can't really help much, since I earned my experience several months ago (long before there were Musician and Dancer buffs), when it seems like it was a lot easier to do heehee
