Ok so while not everyone agrees that SOEs Grand Experiment (Music post, Dancer Post) is a failure. We know that the Devs believe it was flawed from the start. And that it is going to take a lot of work to get things right again. But that time is a very long ways off...
So what do we all do to keep us going until then ?
A few thoughts on the subject....
We could abbandon all healing and buffing to the afkers and bots until such time as they can't do it any more...
What this does it makes us NOT tied into the afk spam filled cantinas. We no longer end up competing with Bots and AFKers for XP or money from buffs. We can then just entertain to have fun(which we have always had). But it relieves many of us from the burdens related to our healing/buffing lines.
But how do I make money then ?
Ahh see now you have free skill points. You can pick up Crafting or combat or Doc or something. You can now have Skill points invested into something that has been and continues to get more content and fixes all along.
You should ALL have a character on Bria to partake in the Cantina Crawls.
If your just sick of it all then you can take a break from the game and cancel your account. And just check up and keep up to date on how things are going to see if you want to come back.
You can take a break by just dropping all your entertainer skills(just remember have an alt on some server where they have a good active Ent. Community) and pick up some other skills to experiance some other parts of this wonderful and large game.
Anyone have any suggestions on what they have been doing ? Suggestions on what you are going to do ?
Thoughts or ideas ?
We have a time line now although very general and rough. Now we just have to keep ourselves going until it gets here.

Well I have personally started the office pool for "when we get the Xantha". Its over in the "So what ever happened to the Xantha" thread.
There are only a handful of entries but it'll be nice to see them tick by one by one until we get it. Oh and creds are invloved. It may be difficult to collect, but hey, its only creds.

I rarely visit public cantinas these days... it is more trouble then it is worth. I stick to other venues, starports, player cantinas, banks... generally anywhere in public city streets, ID tents, and other less frequented NPC cities and PoI's, among them Vreni Island Theatre and The Lucky Despot and Fallen Star.

For me, money isn't an issue. Clothes are provided at little or no cost... I know too may generous tailors. If I do need money, my guildmates are overly generous, one can make an ample living running events and doing gigs. In the result that all this is not enough, I've found that one buffing session, barring buffbot competition, can hold meover on cantina maintenence and shuttle funds and whatever other expenses I have for quite awhile... On another note, if you purchased JTL, the Pilot professions cost 0 skill points and the mission pay is decent.
You should ALL have a character on Bria to partake in the Cantina Crawls.
Excellent advice.

Refer to this post, particularly 4.

I know with the cross-server traffic of late that there are countless great communities and all that I've experienced are totally willing to accept across-server veteran ent into thier ranks.

Playet Created Content. Make your own fun. Plan events and throw them. Write songs whether it is just lyrics or a pattern of flourishes or both... Make a dance routine. Start an entertainer chat channel. Use it to keep in touch with the other LIVE ents on your server. They are out there. Gather together. There is nothing more fun then entertaining with otherLIVE ents.Start a band or dance troupe and tour the galaxy. The possibilities are endless.

I'm taking a break. Account is cancelled (gonna be quiet here when it finally expires
).
SWGTyrant's post gave me hope for the future, but the present is still bleak. I'll keep lurking the boards, though, and see what comes up. I'm torn between my love for SW and desire to play in that universe, and the frustration that doing so causes.

Here's my suggestion.
We all gather on some server, make a bunch of ranger characters, and create a city made of ranger tents somewhere in the wilderness where we just hang out doing ranger things. Maybe we could all go creature handler too so we have pets to mingle among us in the tent city.
And of course, we all wear hawtpants to mock ratwinwungiasonfioasjfdoiauu.

Well, we don't all have to be in hawtpants (I doubt they look like diapers on you though).. the point being we create our ranger tent city and make it a party place!

What am I going to do?
Same thing I've been doing the past year and a half of being a musician/entertainer. I'll still play for my guildies, at Theed, and go to parties. I'll have jam sessions and maybe have an entertainer event or two.
My first text song Soul of the Warrior was a big hit... I've started making a new one. Looks like I'll be making a few more to keep me occupied. Writing songs like that is always fun, and it really impresses people when you play it for them (I've actually had people /cry during my song... I doubt most of them are sincere, but one I'm convinced was representation of real life. That's motivation).
However, attention will inevitably shift from musician to pikeman as the Sandbox starts and the incoming revamps hit us in full force. But until our revamp comes, I will be, well, a musician.
