Sorry if this question has been asked already (I searched and didn't find one). But, I have been hearing dancers talk about upgrading their dance steps to the new dance they got from the quest. Is there any such thing for musician? Or is Western all we are going to get? I'm so CONFUSED!!!

My guess, and it's solely a guess, is that we won't get a Western 2. Dancers have two versions of several dances: Formal 1 and 2, Popular 1 and 2, etc. The "2" version is an upgraded version of the "1" dance, but to my inexpert eye, they're not radically different. We don't have any songs that work that way.
That's not to say that new songs aren't coming -- eventually. The devs have had several songs in various stages of development over the past year. When we'll get them is anybody's guess.

Maybe our equivilent for Theatrical2 is the ability to craft a Xantha!!!

Chances are Dancers got a second dance, because gettingtwo broken dances is better than one.

Chances are dancers got a second dance because all it requires is a separate base dance, which was probably developed along with the dance anyway. You'd be right by guessing the Xantha though, as it seems our 'equivalent' to multiple dances with different base steps is multiple instruments with different appearance. However, don't think that's what the Xantha will be (nor do I think we're gonna have any kind of double reward like Theatrical 2).

The theatrical 2 is taught from the coreography teacher(butchered spelling im sure) I have never seen a musician equivalent, My advanced characters are Master dance/music/ent on 2 characters both have the song and dance, and one has the 2nd dance, but I have never seen in instrument teacher, or any such form.
