Thread: The Last Hurrah......

Greetings Friends,
I bring you news of an unfortunate kind, but its not all that bad as it seems things always go in cycles.
Many of you know me as Durney here on the boards. I have been an entertainer since the beginning of the game and now, sadly, I leave as an entertainer.
Not just an entertainer, but a Musician and I shall never forget the many wonderful people I met and played with. The friendships that developed and the overall great experiences that I was able to enjoy in this game.
I am not writing this post to say that SWG is a horrible game, etc, but rather just to let everyone know that I am leaving and why.
I have been burnt out for a while now, but I have hung on, hoping for changes that would make Musician fun again, but the changes are to slow for me now and my patients have worn out and because I have a few IRL friends that "did" play. They have left now as well and are heading to a different pasture. I, of course, am following.
Durney played his first few days in the Mos Eisley Cantina, but soon moved to Bestine, which became his permanent home.
This evening I played his last song, Western for a few folks and was given his last tip....100credits. That alone should speak volumes.

Sorry to see you go Cudayn... good luck in your future ventures...
It's quite unfortunate that you would even feel obligated to mention "I am not writing this post to say that SWG is a horrible game" ........ though I totally understand why you did...

Good luck Durney, I know all about following friends. If you don't find greener pastures and get the urge to entertain come to Corbantis. We are making progress in Theed and having fun while we accomplish it.

Hope you will be happier where ever your way is leading you now 
I myself had to say Goodbye to one of the greatest Entertainers I ever met last weekend, it's always hard to see people go who actually lived the profession

Farewell- maybe some day those better times for entertainers will come and you will find your way back here. For now, take care and good luck in your future ventures

I'm sorry to see you go, especially like this. I hope that you enjoy your new, greener pastures.
