You can do musician buffs with no dancer skills. However if you want to learn all the songs and play all the instruments, you need to take the dancer and ID lines of entertainer, but that doesn't effect buffs at all.

The skill modifier is musicial mind enhancement, and it comes off the technique line in musician, as well as the novice and master box.

Musicians buff focus and willpower, dancers buff mind. If you want to buff all three pools yes you need both skills. Personally I'm a musician and let Imaji do the dance buffs so we work as a team (and a great one). The tech line of the skill tree controls how strong your buff is so a master musician will buff 100% of the players existing pools (i.e. double them). You can get musical mind enhancing skill tapes to increase that up to 125% if you can afford the many millions of credits that will cost.

I'm thinking about dropping doc and going musician for fun... someone I know said I have to get some dancer to do muscian buffs.. I think that would be horiblly stupid but I'd never put it past a game... so if I want to just go musician can I still do buffs as musician..
