I cant seem to type while my buff macro is going. Evey time i do a flurish, my cursor leaves the chat box and if i hit a key it opens that shortcut. This is very frustraing becuase people are trying to talk to me and i cant reply without dumping my macro and messing up someones buff, can someone please help. I have searched this formum up and down and i cant seem to find a answer. Thank you

In the case of the original poster, as well as myself, we have modal chat on, meaning that the default location for the cursor is "nowhere".
I don't think I've noticed this happening as often as every flourish, but I definitely have this problem occasionally, especially in email. Actually, I can't remember for sure if I have the problem in my chat tabs. Certainly not as often as every flourish or I'd go crazy and have /bugged it a lot and probably turned modal chat off.
What else is unique about your setup?

Yes, I think it's the system messages that do that.

I have figured it out now i can chat while running a macro it was my frist person shooter keymapping for some reason it will not let you talk while a macro is running but if you switch to starwars galaxies keymap you can chat all you want while macro's are running

It is probably because you do have the modal setting for the FPS keymap. What I find is that the system messages (even if NOT displayed on screen) always move your cursor to its default location. For modal that is command mode so any keystroke is the hotkey instead of a letter in the chat box. It drove me crazy enough I turned modal back off and made all my hotkeys an ALT+ combination instead of a single key. The modal format is great for combat but even then if you were running a COB macro constantly you could find the same issue every 30 seconds or so if you are trying to enter text into a chat window.

I get the same thing trying to edit macros, add timers, send email, or anything that isn't typing in the chat window. The cursor keeps getting moved back to my chat window by system messages making it very frustrating even when not in modal mode.

Yes i have noticed that as well, but i am just happy i can talk to my customers while dancing and playing music.
