Thread: My fare-thee-well/fitting passage from douglas adams

A tremendous feeling of peace came over him. He knew that at last, for once and forever, it was now all, finally, over"

So closes my life in starwars galaxies. My account has been canceled, and I will be leaving forever Feburary 3rd. As such, on Feburary 3rd, starting at 8:00 PM EST, I will be having a get together at my plaza. I'll have Doasa mass-mail this info out with the appropiate way points. As for furplay, I will try and remember to come here every once in a while.

As I said before, it's going to be hard to see you go. I'll try to make the tail end of your party...it starts an hour into my shift, but I should be off work by 11:30ish EST.


Oh, and can I have your stuff? (Just kidding. It's something I've been reading recently on the Bria Server forum SO often when I run by there trying to avoid the trolls.)

Lilo, yes, I have an item or two for you, even if it one of them doesn't get put in the memorial. I also have another item for doasa (If i find him before my account dies) that I might reclaim from him should I come back after the non-com revamp (which is at least 8 months off). That being said, this game has been the best online experience i've had, and I'm sad myself to see it go. And yes, I did forget about "don't panic" in the large, friendly letters. I did however, remember "Panic" written in small, angry letters.

I am still around Carpathia, just havn't been on much do to being busy in RL. I'd be glad to hold the item for you. Well, this is the end my friends. I'm moving on until they revamp entertainers (which will probably be this time next year). As such, I have done the following:


1 - Liloman/tralmek has been named manager of entertainment at carpathia plaza. He will be responsible for organizing parties and events at it (at his own convience of course. my gracious guild has promised to keep the plaza as I left it, and to pay maint on it). Lilo, you have my gratitude

2 - I have left my mandovil for doasa with tralmek until the two can exchange them.

3 - The plaza will stay where it is, now and until server down (God willing).

4 - Snuffalufagus has been donated to a worthy entertainer (can't remember who! ah!)


Warryyr: Its been a great year. You've been an insipration to me when it came to yelling at the developers/moderators.

Dranon, Doasa, Liloman, Kitsuney, Kirahfaye, Ub-ick, Sirii, Leivi, Javier, Frag, Gedlee, Roho, Shailas, and anyone else i'm forgetting (come to www.furplay.com/swg/ to yell at me!), thanks for such a great experience.

Okyy and Wolw, I owe you a special debt of gratitude for the work you have done for me throughout the past few months. Without you, the plaza would never have been done.


Just remember: i'll be back one day, provided things change for the better.
