If I came into a cantina and heard that, I'd start looking for ways to kill you. A little variety, please! The timing (2 flourishes per tick) is right for max XP.

As you progress..make sure you get the new instrument. You'll get more xp per tick.

There isn't a faster way - that'll maximize the xp you get from your flourishes - but may I ask why you want to do that? I ask because I sort-of understand (say) a brawler or marksman "grinding" to get more "uber" - but given the limitations of being an entertainer, is it going to be worth it? A better way of saying it - it seems to me that the fun of being an entertainer is the process, not the result. Your post suggests that you see it differently, and I'd just like to hear more about how you're approaching the profession.

Except when you play Western. No matter what instrument you use, your XP is always Novice-level.
That is because you only need novice Entertainer to play Western once you have learned it. Yes you do need Novice musician to read the scroll and either MK1 or MT1 to be able to bank enough XP, but Western is considered a novice level song when it comes to playing it. Same with the new dances Theatrical and Theatrical 2.

Yes, I know. My complaint is that (unlike all other songs) it overrides my choice of instrument when it comes determining how much XP I get.

The fastest way to grind Musician is to play music.
And, please consider those who might be listening to you or in your group, change up the flourishes, for the love of all that is holy! The same flourish constantly will just make people hate you.
Do like
/flo 1
/flo 2
/pause 10
/flo 5
/flo 8
/pause 10
/flo 4
/flo 7
/pause 10
/flo 3
/flo 6
/pause 10
repeat repeat
If you're gonna macro, do it with some consideration for who's listening to you or grouping with you.
And always use your highest level instrument, or play your highest level song. Either one will maximize your xp gain.
And don't bea buffbot. Please, don't be a buffbot.
