I'd like to cordialy invite you all to the Ragin' Rancor (2148, 3442 just outside Mos Entha, Tatooine) to make some good music. I'm in a band that does a lot of great, great routines, but so much practice goes into the routines that we don't really put as much time into the music behind them, and most of our members are really busy. I have always wanted to work on the music behind the lyrics and the show and make all those songs we use SW3 on sound a little different. That's not the only purpose behind this, of course. I think it would be great to play with dedicated musicians (not AFKers) who cared about how the music sounded (not just how quick their buff was) and had different ideas on how to improve what SOE gave us to work with. There's so much that can be done, different ways to start a song, end a song, different arrangements of instruments to make a song sound completely different, flourishes played over and over that harmonize, call and answer type routines, etc. Just fun stuff for an entertainer to do that ought to make the experience better for both us and the people listening. No one person could find them all, but the collective musicians of Kettemoor working together would give us all a bit more insight into our professions. That and it would be a lot of fun. If you do decide to come, bring your ideas, be patient and willing to listen to others' ideas, and enjoy yourself.

(I think that NyQuil I took this afternoon is still getting to me) I forgot to mention that it would be Thursday evenings, around 7 or 8 CT. I apologize for being so scatterbrained, but my mental clarity is still suffering a bit.

I usually do things the other way... I write the lyrics to the music. I'll listen to a song, and pick out the lead instrument from the arrangement. Typically when there is a singer, they are the lead instrument. So therefore, I use the lead instrument as a representation of the singer, and write the lyrics to match that. The result is lyrics you really can sing to the music.

Inside my heart is breaking, my make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die
I can fly - my friends

Well, it's not just about that. I have really wanted to do something like this for a while, and it gave me an excuse. I just wanted anyone who came to know that their songs may end up in somebody else's show is all.
