I recently created an alt who I'm tring to get to master musician as soon as possible
I haven't been doing any AFKing or macroing at all since I literally just started this character last night. Any tips you guyscan offer me would be most appreciated.
Thanks!

Get in the biggest group you can. Always play your highest instrument or highest song, since most groups contain beginners this is generally your highest instrument. Flourish twice every 8 seconds, any more is a waste of action, any less and you miss some second tick experience.

Go to an Image Designer and get your stats migrated: get your Quickness and Stamina as high as possible, and put the rest into Action. This should allow you to play or dance continuously without needing healing. If you can't get a stat migration, you will either have to rely on people healing your Action or stop every so often to recover. Or you can get Novice Medic for the /tendDamage command - this heals your Action but wounds your Mind sub-stats (don't worry, playing music heals them!)
Always play your best (highest level) instrument. Playing the highest instrument OR the highest song will get you the most XP; you can't always play your best song because in a group, everyone has to play the same song - but you can pick your instument.
GROUP GROUP GROUP!
In case you missed that: GROUP GROUP GROUP! The larger the group you are in, and the greater the number of people listening, the more XP you get. If someone watches or listens to any member of the group to heal Mind or Battle Fatigue, every member of the group get Entertainer Healing XP from it.
Flourishes are the key to XP. There are 8 in all; each makes a different variation on songs and each has an animation (which can be different for different instruments). A flourish every 5 seconds gets you maximum Music XP (1 every 8 seconds for dancing). Flourishing costs extra Action, and your songs and instruments cost more Action the higher they are.
I have one of my toolbars set up just for Entertainment. There are macros for each of the flourishes, so I don't have to type /flo 1; /flo 5; etc. There are macros to change the song I'm playing, and macros to start or stop playing or dancing. I also made macros that do a very long string of flourishes. With those taking care of the music playing, my fingers are free for talking to other people.

Thanks for the tips all! I've been in the cnet cantina on sunrunner and have been racking up the entertainment healing xp so i was curious of how to get my musician xp up. I had no idea that you get musician xp by crafting instruments. However I may want to stay away from crafting since my primary character mastered two elite crafting professions... lol
Is there a listing of entertainer macros? I've already migrated my character's stats so that I never need healing myself and want to keep florishing.
Thanks!

From when I tried Musician (a long time ago) the /quickheal command at 4000 Medic is better than /tenddamage. It's more of a heal, you take more damage but you'll heal it up soon enough, just don't end your song right after one...

If you have a little extra money and want to get through a little xp quickly, make slitherhorns, or other instruments. That grants musician xp.
