It's too late, no one who can do anything about it cares, either take this latest kick in the groin or just cancel. I'm getting closer to the latter every minute.

For whatever it's worth, they are considering it. The following was posted by Tiggs two hours ago in the CU Upgrade board:

Please consider allowing non combat profs that have been nerfed to death respec.

This is being considered but will not be live tomorrow.

At least some hope here... not that I would want to respec in the first place, but it's the principle of the thing

That sounds great!

one thing I was wondering, there seems no way to make a living now as a entertainer. Even traveling from vendor to vendor will be too risky for me.

I wish I had time to move my home before the servers went down, I am not sure I can get there again.

Oh well, I wish I did not have to grind up a skill to be functional in the new game.

Although mobs and combatants have been rebalanced the mobs are no more aggressive than they were before the CU. If you could move through yellow mobs and avoid red mobs before then you still can.

Yeah you don't want to fight but the overall actions of the creatures and NPC haven't changed, the whole galaxy is not going to suddenly start attacking. There is not much more risk moving around without combat skills after the CU than there was before the CU.

Yeah, but the difference is that when before a non-combatant crafter had a good chance to survive enough hits to make a getaway, as it is now, it might only take one hit (especially by more than one mob) to incap.

My Bria toon has no combat skills at all and a shop just outside of Theed. Most days I have to weave my way in and out of spineflaps and shaupauts to get to my house or factory, and since they often camp within 50m of my frontdoor, it's not always easy to avoid agro. However, since I'm always on my swoop when outside (and never store it until safely inside the house), I can usually just drive away when they get aggressive. I'll probably be hit a few times by their ranged attacks (talking spineflaps here), but even my 500 health is enough to protect me as I get the heck outtahere.

My concern is thatwon't be the case anymore after the CU, and that the first one or two hits I take by mobs that are 10 or20 (or more) levels above me will result in an instant incap.

I trid to go to a home I have on one server, I never did make it there alive. Granted that was one of the test servers, but from what I have been reading I need to keep away from anything 5 or more levels above me!

Trying to remember my level... oh yes it is1

I hope they have some appartments for me to move into in a NPC town, I am unemployed and can not afford much now!
