Im currently a musician and im looking to expand my horizons, i was wondering how player run cantinas work? can you actually heal mind wounds and battle fatigue in them? how do you go about doing it? can i just place a house and call it a cantina? also is there an okay market for them? or would i be wasting my money on a constantly empty place?

There are no "cantinas" as such right now, but you can open up a house to the public (with a cover charge, even,if you have Business I). Player houses allow for both wound and fatigue healing, but you can't register them on the planetary map, so your clientele would probably be slim to none.

However, once player cities are added, the architects can make an actual cantina, placable by Master Musicians, Dancers, or Chefs. Or a theater (which is probably limited to Musician and Dancer, maybe Master Entertainer). I would assume those can be registered on the map.

so there only placeable by ent/musician/dancers? GREAT!

The cantinas (at least as they are listed in the TC Holocron, with an addition by the chef dev) will be placeable by Master Musicians, Master Dancers, and Master Chefs. MEs weren't mentioned in the info I saw. I threw them in for the theaters, but that's just a wild guess.

The only reason I had this info handy is that the current help listing has only MMs and MDs as allowed to place cantinas, which kind of pi$$ed off the chefs, until the correspondant came back with a note from the dev saying that chefs weren't included in the documentation, but will be able to place cantinas.

Any musicians on TC want to check on the theatersfor us? I heard there's a new "Player City" section in the Holocron help, with these details. Are theaters included yet?

Music played in any private building heals mind wounds and BF. There is a player run "cantina" (house) on Dantooine/Intrepid run by Kesti and Xedra. Works just like a regular cantina except the decor/atmosphere is much more pleasant.

I have run a cantina of sorts for a while now and I have peek periods. It all depends on the location. I cannot wait for player cities so I can make bank. I wouldnt suggest getting into it until cities go live though.

the building for cantina's is spectacular blows anything we've seen away. I'm excited about player cantinas...hope people really do this
