I was curious to know if there are a few of us entertainers out there to start a guild that focuses primarily on strategic performances, on Lowca of course. If we could start a PA that brought together all entertainer PA's as like a House of Commons, that'd be awesome. like each guild picksa member that doubly joins the HoC to go in and represent it's guild, asking for demands or needs of instruments, etc. that'd be interesting.

oh and what i meant for strat. performances:

i.e. - playing at different starports on specific day; matched uniforms for special events; running contests for the different professions out there (such as bring in this many hide from a specific animal. More details if I get enough interested folks.)

I do the starports at the moment. I just wish there was a more coordinated effort between entertainers on Lowca. It'd be cool if we could do something like that. I understand that BABE is out there but I'm still curious.

A few more notes on my idea, as I seem to not be able to get anyone's attention with this. (OR everyone's off macroing in AFK to master. Which I know isn't the case. :robotwink

The PA would not affect current PA styles. The one I'm considering is definitely up to adapting to styles. Like, to say, name some Cantinas as official cantinas of certain PA's (the one they're most likely to be found at). This also aims to make sure that Player Cantinas will have a lot of publicity. I'm loving that idea, I just wish I could help support it someway.

There's nothing saying that if the PA I'm suggesting grows strong enough that we can't build a city and primarily focus it on ALL healing classes. There seems to be a huge lack of instruments on Lowca and this could hopefully change that. And, we are in some need of stims since there aren't medics at our beck and call all the time.

This could also attack the AFKing players out there (don't flame me please please please). The idea is to let the more active players know certain play times, or where big band locations will be, and so they can at request join that band. This will lead to AFK players not know where these bands will be. Hence, more exp for the actives. Of course, there will be already active AFKers walking in on the group. But, there is the option of kicking that person out of the group as this may become the case.

To organizing the existing entertaining PA's, an elected representative (or 2 or 3 or whatever) can doubly join the musician's "HoC" and entertain the idea of meeting at a specific time. (or if two PA's inside the "HoC" they can meet through the HoC channel and use it as the medium). A desginated person shall become the mediator, as it may get crazy and we don't need another faction clash, especially between musicians (nargalorns ARE heavy and hurt :robotsad

I'm honestly up for moving this idea into action. I just need some other ideas. Anyone have anything like this on any other existing servers?

Living La Vida Lowca

Sounds interesting, but I do not play my musician much anymore. I pop in now and then to play a bit and put some instruments on the bazaar.

Can't believe that I'm the only one that seems to have instruments on the bazaar on naboo.

yeah, there are few instruments out there and not enough people to make them. I've sold newly accumulated fizzes hundreds of times to the new guys just so that they can keep up with us. Got any better ideas that might help get this out there?

I'm trying to get my cash up for a PA hall (wish i had an archytechy friend) to start this thing. I have a few people in mind for the starting council but I have a lack of knowledge in all the music PA's.

so... um... i'm losin steam on this idea lol

Yes that does sound fun!

I'm a Master Tailor/Dancer (not Master Dancer though) but it would be really fun to create the looks and outfits for the events and of course dance alongside. (Wait, you're looking for dancers too, right?)

Instead of just playing at Starports, have you thought of gathering people for other events? Here are my ideas.

Opera/Play

Have the band play music, and let the dancers narrate it and have speaking roles. This of course is completely role playing. You can hold this in the PA Hall so you can charge an entrance fee or you can hold it at a Theater (for free) and allow people to sit down, relax and enjoy the show. (Does healing work in Theaters? This could be an added bonus)

Celebration Parade

Hold it in Theed or another populated city to celebrate an event or the parade could be the event. You can have uniformed band players line up and have dancers in bright colorful costumes in front and other dancers (doing a different dance) lined up in the back in other costumes. Fireworks can be set off at the beginning and start of each stop. (Because you can't walk and play music/dance) It would look fabulous with a big group of entertainers in bright pastel colors contrasted with darker richer colors (Episode I Parade)

Nice idea but have you ever heard of the guild BABE at Lowca?

Currently over 70 members, an entertainers guild (not a pure entertainers guild, but more then 80% of the members are entertainers)

They also have events like you suggest, why do all the work again that they already did?

aye, I do know of BABE - friends with a few.

I'm not entirely familiar with their system, but I'll try to get in touch with one of their members.
