A couple of nights ago in Mos Eisley, these two Imperial Jerks kept dragging my Ommni Box away from me so I'd stop playing, they did this again, and again, and again, and again. I was ablet to target one of them long enough to put them on my DOS list, but can anyone tell me if there's a way of preventing this? They should not be able to do this!

I thank you for your help....but.

1. I did try to /report one of them, but it seemed to be bugged. I hear that the Report Harrassment feature in the holocron works a bit better (Just learned that as a matter of fact.)

2. I'd be damned if I was going to let them force me out of the cantina. I have just as much a right to be there that they do. (Maybe more, since my profession requires me to be at a cantina for both function and the neccessary people to find me)

3. Could have switched instruments (and did for a short time after I finally figured out what they were doing) But it still doesn't change the fact that they shouldn't have been able to do what they did. I take it though there's no way to prevent them from doing so.

4. The only Jedi I know are Imps....I was an Imp myself until that night...I am now neutral. I was never so ashamed to be an Imp as then...and I've been playing for 9 months.

The only ones that can't be moved are the ones placed by the game.

Speaking of which, I wonder if it might be a good idea to place one nalargon and one Ommni Box in each of thecantinas andhotels in the major cities. Right now there's no real 'stage' on which to perform in the cantinas, so people just play or dance anywhere in the building. If we had a Nalargon and an Ommni Boxset up, we'd have a real focus point aroundwhich we could gather. It might make us appear like a real band, rather than like a bunch of people who just arbitrarily showed up to dance and play. Many of the player-city cantinas already do this, and it's nice to just play the Nalargon without having to fish it out and set it up.

I'm a Master Musician, and I have to say that although it's not a great deal of hassle, I dislike setting up a Nalargon enough that I hardly ever play it. Far easier simplytoclick on the Chid Horn I keep in my toolbar. If a staticone was available that I could just play without setting it up, I'd be much more likely to play it. As for the Ommni Box - why would anyone ever bother to play an Ommni Box? I just don't see the attraction, but I guess a static one would be nice for those weirdos (just kidding)who do like to play it.

Play the bandfill instead.

Play for the sake of the music, not the XP.

First, make full use of the report harrassment feature. We don't go where these people perform their craft and interfere with it, they should not do so with ours, interfering with our gameplay (yes, that IS against the TOS).

Second, entertainers need more control over the public cantinas. The devs have said that player cities and facilities have greatly exceeded their expectations, making many of the designer cities ghost towns. A small portion of this can be fixed with granting entertainers some control over the cantina. For example, a /bounce command. This would 'bounce' the offender from the cantina for 5 mins, much like a TEF with a private building. To avoid griefing, you could make it a group command. The group gets a msg box with something like, 'Soandso wishes Griefer to be bounced. Do you agree? Yes/No'.Group majority clicking yes, would 'bounce' the offender for the stated five mins.

There will always be those who thrive on conflict. Unfortunately, SOE's position with reports seems to be 'use the /addignore feature, use the bad word filter, or remove yoursefl from the area'. This however does NOT address the problem. Cantinas are the domain of the Entertainer. Even if you ignore a griefer/spammer/etc, potential patrons come in, see the behaviour, and leave, denying us our xp/tips/gameplay.

The only way to gain more control is to repeatedly report (even if ineffectual), and make them KNOW we have a problem.
