I am trying to gaining on Crafting XP right now, and one of the things I guess I could sell on Bazaar is the Instruments. I intend to make A BUNCH of these and sell it!

How much is too much, and how much is too cheap?

In another words, how much should I sell SlitherHorn and Fizzz for, and people will buy it without thinking, "Man,that costs too much"?

A couple points you should be aware of:

  1. Crafting instruments does not give crafting experience. It gives musical experience.

  2. Every person who starts as a novice entertainer has and can make a slitherhorn. Their value is very minimal (if any at all).

That said, I haven't ever sold any slither or fizzz, so I wouldn't be the best person to really answer your question. lol

In the first week I sold two slithers and a fizz each for about 100 and 150 for the fizzz. Prices have dropped as of late especially for the slither.

Go to the bazaar, click on 'entire galaxy'... then go under misc -> instruments and see how much other people are selling them for to get an idea on your server.

I sold a dozen or more slitherhorns at 250, and many fizzes for about 500. (can't remember exactly on that one, but I go up in about 250 cr increments. Fanfars I've sold a lot for 750, and 1000 for Kloos.

I think the answer to this question depneds on your style of play. How imporatnat are credits to you and how willing are you to gouge newbies? On my planet there are musicians charging (and getting) 1.5 k for slitherhorns. I think this is despicable but that is what is important to them.

I sell all my instruments fast simply by undercutting the lowest price on the bazaar. I buy my materials, calculate how many instruments I can make and the lowest price I need to sell them for to break even. The I check the Bazaar prices for the region (not the planet) I am in. Usually I find if I shop well, I can undercut others prices pretty significantly and still make a fair profit.

Oh, and if you ask me for one direct, in the cantina I'm playing at, I will typically discount even more.

I'd pay 10,000 credits and 5 lot spaces for a friggin' edit button on this forum

It also depends on server/city you're crafting/selling in. On Starsider, I can get more for a Fizzz in Moenia than I can in, say, Mos Eisley. On Kettemoor the cost of making one doesn't yet justify the low market value, so I don't craft them there (although I've spent most time in Keren and Moenia).

My prices are generally:

- Slitherhorn, 100 credits
- Fizzz, 300 credits
- Fanfar, 400 credits
- Kloo Horn, 700 credits

I discount 50-100 on credits on the higher instruments depending on location and if I'll be staying in the city awhile. I also will sometimes boost the price 50-100 credits, depending on the market fluctuation. The only one I DON'T change is the Slitherhorn though ... I never sell them over 100 credits, and tend to give them away to new dancers if they want them.

While you're at it, pick up a floral, mineral, and power deed, and find a decent spot to put all 3. You'll save TONS in resource costs. Harvest for a few days, pick up the resources and reclaim the deeds. When you run out, find another location to drop them for a day or two. Any excess you can sell on the open market.

Btw, as far as I can tell, experimentation or material quality doesn't make a bit of difference in what the instrument will do (ie, you don't heal or gain exp faster with higher quality instruments). So don't worry about any of that .

You'll need a Droid, Weapon, and General Crafting Tool to make a Kloo Horn and higher, I believe. Everything else just requires the basic General Crafting Tool.
