As I am a new musician, can anyone tell me whats the deal with these crappy terminals. All I see are dancer missons. I need cash and these stingy players refuse to tip

I never figured those myself out, and trust me i'm playing since a while. About ur money problem. Don't beg! nobody likes begging entertainers, and u will get more tips if u don't. Another idea is due to the fact that talk is cheap! Talk to many people. U might have no people skills, but entertainers need to ask around for parties, weddings or gatherings. Most of the organizers of the party will bring wealthy and good tippers to the occation (Besides all that dealy beloved xp u'll gain).

Make sure you are clicking on the Musician tab on the mission select screen. Also, most still say dancer mission when you examin them. It's been that way for a long long time. Take deliver missions to make cash if you are strapped. They are easy, danger free, and pay a heck of alot better than the entertainment missions.

Thanks for the help, was a little hot during my first post but am feeling much better now. Made Master Doctor and can use that as a source of income.

Just another fine example why entertianer, musician, dancing missions must be changed.. For the last couple months since making master musician I hardly play anymore for the general public, simply because it accomplishes so little to make it worth my while..

Last night I was on my second character which had medic shill and a gent came running into town all beat up to h*ll and back.. There was NO entertainer in town, nor was there any medic.. After about 15 minutes of listening to this gent moan in /shouts that he needs help, I caved in.. I excused myself from the group of friends I was chatting with and told the man to meet me at the hospital.. I healed all his wounds which was about 50% black, and told him I would switch over to my musician and take care of his mind wounds and BF, since there was no entertainer to heal him..

In conclusion, after all this and I healed the person that had over 1,000 wounds and hundreds of BF.. I was rewarded with the typical "Zippo" tip.. There I took 15+ minutes of my time away from friends to help this person in desperate need, buy using 2 different account/characters and didn't even so much as get 1 little credit tip.. This isn't the first time, this has happen.. In fact this is more common then not.. I can guarantee you that I will NEVER do that again.. Unless SOE wants to device a way to reward ELITE entertainers to encourage them to be in the cantina's and other locations on a regular basis I will keep away from that enviroment, and just do what I have been doing with friends..

There are a small minority of people that do tip accordingly and I don't want to give you the impression I don't appreciate that, however, common rule of thumb is "tipping" is one of the poorest ways SOE allowed some professions to earn an income and missions are JUST as bad.. Entertainer missions are nothing new,, I was able to get the exact same missions from NPC in the theater as I do from the terminals.. All the terminals did was just make it more visiable..

Combat missions are based on level of skill, but entertainer missions are not.. I wonder if a Master TKA would like doing gnort missions for 300 credits to make his living.. ????

I agre..I have met some generous patrons out there and i have met some cheap ones as well. As a doctor I can say to heal a stat to full from 1000 wounds costs me 200 credits. If i get a 200 cred tip I just make up my cost. As I am master doctor and soon to be master Musician I have 0 points for combat class now...this is the only way I can make my ends meet ( I too have harvesters and they require creds and power, which is more creds). So to tip me 100 credits for healing 500+ mind and BF is an insult. If I were to recieve that as a Doctor, that guy would find a hard time finding a doctor to heal him again.

As an example...My stat buffs are all 2k and up buffs, I sell a full buff for 7k. One of these holo hunters just sold a sith holocron for around 5 million creds. He asked for a buff, I told him the price, he told me he gets them for 5k, I told him to go and get his for 5k then seeings that sale he just made must have set him back in some wierd way.

A good method to save yourself. NEVER buff before payment...period. I have had a few run offs in the past. I got them though. They find a hard time finding a doctor to buff them now.
