I am not going to go off on a rant (this time) about AFKing, butfixingit is the highest priority. I also have the easy solution (which I have been pushing for a long time). It is in two simple steps, the first being that the devs remove the option to mark yourself as AFK. You would still be allowed to set the time before you are displayed as AFK from 1 - 30 minutes but when that point is reached it flags you as such. The second part is that when you are AFK you receive NO XP. This would still give people a more than adequate amount of time to get a drink, go to the rest room or take care of most any other task without letting people sign on and go to sleep or to school and level up. You could still let people run their macros so no change to the mechanics of that system would have to be changed. You could also letAFKers heal wounds and be tipped. This would let the people who say that they go to distant places to help heal people overnight or whatever still perform the service that they are supposedly there for. This also allows the people who say that they are so happy to see an entertainer in an out of the way location to tip the entertainer for their services. This would solve most of the complaints that entertainers have beenstating for a long time. This alsosolves AFK problems in all classes, such as AFK sampling, AFK spawn camping and more, not just entertainer. Plain and simple, people could earn money, help others by healing them and such without giving them an easy path to grinding out professions. I hope that the devs will give this serious consideration because I do not believe that the devs wanted the entertainer profession to be a lifeless and empty one.
