Thread: How DOES one complete a Musician Mission?
I've been creating a musician for a long time...I gave up doing the mission terminals because..well, they never worked for me. Even the difficulty 0 ones. I've spent hours on end playing in the glowing waypoint, on stage, in crowds, you name it....I've played it. Only one time have I ever gotten my 80 credits. ((btw...why are entertainers paid so low? Not even enough for shuttle fare.))
My question is this: Are all the "gigs" busted or am I not "standing" in the right place?
Normally you have to go inside the building in question -- don't play at the waypoint itself. Then you have to play continuously, nonstop, for some period of time. This used to be determined by the amount of XP you got for playing, but I'm told that rule has changed -- I myself can't tell because I no longer get XP messages. In any case, you're supposed to play and flourish nonstop, so bring along some Tatooine Sunburns or a medic.
Yes, the pay is lousy. Fixing gig missions has been in my top-five list for the devs from the moment the gig mission terminals appeared. They are quite aware that players are very unhappy with gig missions, and I'm hopeful that they'll come up with something better. For that reason I started and stickie'd a thread entitled "inviting suggestions on gig missions"; and in fact just a few days ago I drew the devs' attention to that thread.
Sorry I don't have a better answer for you now. I'm hoping we'll see progress on this issue, but I don't know when.
Thank you for your help. I have hold the title of composer and flourish my little character to no end. I've gone through my high green bar five times in a row, resting in between.
One day I wasn't going to give up on the gig and played straight, on stage inside the building for over an hour. Still, no completion of the mission. Maybe the key is to have a medic with you and keep the flow xp flow constant.::sigh::
Thanks for looking out for us.
