Thread: Registering at a location should put your name on the map
Musicians who register should have their names listed just as vendors are listed.
Makes you wonder what the Coronet and Theed listings would look like.
They'd be empty of course, since those cities are filled with macrotainers who barely know what a Traz is, let alone know about something like /register.
On the one hand,that's funny.
On the other, it's a stereotype that, like all stereotypes, is only partially true.
I spent several days in both Theed and Coronet grinding out my last couple of boxes of musician and I was pleasantly surprised at both the amount of "awake" socializers and the number of upper level entertainers who came and went. I honestly had a great time most of the time that I spent there. I'd have to give Coronet the thumbs-up over Theed, but neither one was the AFK-dominated "ghost" cantina that I'd experienced in the past.
Stereotypes often have a grain of truth blossomed into a tree of assumptions. However, in that case I played the stereotype knowing it was only partly true for the humor value. ![]()
In my experience there are cycles. It goes nearly empty->Live and kicking->AFK ghost town->Nearly empty. Right now on my server, I've heard Coronet has become quite hostile towards AFK entertainers. However I've been having so much fun in my cantina I haven't bothered to look. Once theres a shuttleport nearby however I'll pop in there to let people know about my place.
