Thread: A painful goodbye

I tried posting this here last night, but I was having technical difficulties. Kirah posted it for me in the Dancer Forum, but I needed to post it here myself.

There are many here who will remember me and it was with very heavy heart that I finally cancelled my station account. I haven't been in any of the Sony games, EQII or SWG, in far too long. I can't justify continuing to pay Sony for games I just don't play.


I wanted you guys to know that this means the end of Roho in all his incarnations. Wow that was painful to type. I've been playing role playing games for about 2/3 of my life and I've never played a character that so affected my life. It has brought me friends from the far corners of the world. I don't think that I can fully explain what all you guys meant to me in SWG and the other games that I've played (and will continue to play).

As many of you know, Roho and I have cancelled our accounts with Galaxies.


To that, we would like to invite everyone to a Farewell Bash at Bishops' Sanctuary, Veritas, Naboo, Bria thisMonday night (7/25) from approximately 7pm to 10pm Eastern. I'm calling it a "Bring Your Own Props" party, because . . . . well, we don't have any! If you don't have a character on Bria consider rolling one up for the evening - then you can stay for CC XX!


We know there will be sorrow, but just remember - we loved Galaxies (and still do) and all of you are the reasons why. Let's make it a blowout of a party before sending Roho and Kirah off into the Rebel Protection System!

We might have to change the date/time as some of our oldest friends and family can't make it that day. My account will be closed as of the 26th so I can make it up until the 25th. Any concensus?

We changed the date to Monday, July 25 for the party. Please seemy originalpost above for details. We hope this will make it possible for more to attend. Please come - there might be presents!

Just a gentle reminder that the party is tonight from 7pm ET until 10ish (or at least as long as Roho and I can bear it without crying too much). We hope to see many of our friends there before we disappear.

Sadly my computer went kaput (again) last night and I'm going to be missing this . My fondest wishes to you though for the party.
