Musician Archive
Thread: OK, do you remember mario paint?
music maker thing.
Well that thing is called a "Midi Sequencer" and should be a feature in the game. There should be 8 tracks per song (8 instruments),
and a player could compose, direct and with help from other musicians record this game music. Maybe the music would have a short buff
effect when played. (It would be played in a small player that is actually a container that sits in your invitory. Inside the container
are datadisk you get from master musicians. Who make these disk after recording the master track and using a factory to mass produce them).
The musician would "craft the song" then can give out parts to other musicians, and they could play the song in unison, to make this
factory schematic. During a "crafting session" the song writer could choose a buff from a LONG list of temparary buff list (max maybe 15min)
They could experiment for length of buff and lenght of song, also strength of buff. In the field players could play these songs (mabye
the song itself would last 1min at most?) and gain a temparary buff like maybe when riding a mount they would travel faster. Or HAM regen.
Or ham Max. Or def+ or Innate armor bonus. COB boost. or even crafting exp a bit higher. They should give ALOT more buffs.
The core of this profession would be 1000 better if they did this. I know I would actually like to play this profession. Just in case
a DEV read this, (I doubt) FIX SMUGGLER. That doesn't get said near enough, and I'm gonna say it in every post I make.
Tell what you think musicians. I DO NOT want to see your prof "phased" out. That would be horrible.
But yay mario paint! I loved that game
I used to rock out in mario paint a LOT.
My friend was an absolute whiz at drawing and animating things. This one time, he did an Empire Strikes Back poster-looking thing, with the logo, a standing vader, and a glowing red lightsaber that really pulsated like a lightsaber. It was just incredible. I'd forgotten about that, until I started replying to this post!
I used to goof with the music all the time. I'd make all sorts of weird songs, or find sheet music and try to make it sound cool. I remember making some crazy techno songs, that was the best...
Go hereand click onthe "downloads page" link in the second paragraph on the page.
There's a .zip file of mp3's from Mario Paint in a contest they ran, a Mario Paint ROM, and an SNES emulator ![]()
You can play Mario Paint on your computer!!1!1!!one!11!!!!
I'm totally getting this set up tonight, I wanna compose again.
Regarding the musiccomposing. Looove the idea, though I don't think it will ever get implemented
