Terance, I assume you've conversed as much as possible with the audience beforehand? The clues they give you are helpful but incomplete. If they say "Play flo 3", you by all means should spam flo 3 -- but also play all 7 flo's for that tune. Rinse and repeat for other tunes, spamming 3, playing all remaining flos. Be careful not to play any flo or song that an audience member dislikes.

It might also help to bring a friend to /conv with the audience for you. I haven't tried this myself, but I hear that other players can help in this way.

Also, I'm sure you know to /change, not to /stop and restart.

I hope you hang in there. The song is really nice.

Aye, put the emphasis on the audience's recommended flourishes, not the whole performance.

For one you are doing it all wrong. The NPCs want certain songs and flos to be played but they do not want you to spam only the flos they like. They want you to play them properly, as in mixing them with other flos. There is one flo for every audience they do not like, as well as two songs they do not like. You must also change songs during your audition. You must also use your special effects as they will help raise your satisfaction level. Do it like i say and you will succeed. You must talk to every audience member during your show, you can also bring a friend to talk to them while you stand on stage to ensure you don't start playing late. Find out what flo they dont like, what two they do like, what two songs they like, what two songs they hate, mix those flos they like with allof your other flos, like say every other one except for the one flo they hate. You'll do just fine following this advice.

I have completed the quests in music and dance and I have yet to do a single Special Effect. I have also yet to fail a performance in the last 14 I have done on various servers.

My method.....

Speak to as many audience members as possible.

Play every song and flonot hated.

Emphasize songs and flos liked.

Change songs often.

Flourish more than can be actively seen. 2 flos in 10 seconds will NOT cut it. More like 5 every 10.

Flourish in random order.

What fragpuppie says Also take friends to canvas the audience it makes a significant difference. They can /conv the audience and boil the results down to one clean line of information in group chat so you don't make any mistakes.

Throwing in my 2 cents. I talked to every audience member and found out what songs/flos they wanted/didn't want. When I started playing, I ONLY played the songs they said they wanted. I didn't play any other song. Every other flourish I did was one of the flos they wanted to see, occasionally doing the audience flos back-to-back. I avoided any they said they didn't want. I didn't use any special effects. When the audience mentioned more than one song, I used /changemusic to switch between the songs they wanted every 5 flourishes or so. I was able to get through the performances without failing any of them.

Cancelled 7/27/05 - I joined to play Star Wars, not Jedi-BH Wars. You've ignored/gutted/abused just about every other profession in the game, while spending most of your time working on Jedi and BH as they related to Jedi. You've basically killed the game for anyone who doesn't want the glowstick. Congratulations.

Okay, I passed my last two shows with out any trouble. This is what I did. I played the Highest song that they liked. I did their favorite flourishes every other one and never used the disliked flourishes. On the last performance I got up to the pass stage with about almost a 30 seconds or longer to play. I guess I got lucky. *Smiles* Have fun, it is hard to find a group to play it anyways. *Grins*

I hope you don't quit, I know it can be frustrating, but keep at it. It's pretty rewarding when you get the song. It sounds pretty cool.

One thing I did that seemed to help was to change songs rapidly with /changemusic I did between 1-3 flos that they didn't hate and I made one of them 1 of the ones they specificallyliked with about a pause5 (wasn't a macro, just guessing) between them and then /changemusic to another song that they didn't hate, doing about 1 song they specificallyliked in about every 3 songs.

I know that its not exactly a formula and may not be the perfect amounts and times but it worked for me. The trick ,I think, really was changing songs oftenand /flo-ing often.

P.S. I did it on Accarragm every time to allow me to /flo so often without worrying about running out of end and definately bring a friend for the last two performances, it really reallyhelps.

When I did it recently, I did only the song(s) they liked, and then multiple flourishes. Never used special effects.

On a side note, if you get them up to neutral, I think you still pass. I did on my final performance anyway...
